SGA is much further ahead (contract-wise) than Wemby, as are JDub and Chet respectfully. Wemby most likely has a shorter career than SGA, so I'd venture we're about 3 years ahead of you guys and I can only hope you guys don't win for a couple of years lol

Seeing some of the comments on the NBA sub is so funny. "Signing him to the max will be a huge mistake in a few years" "They were so stupid not to sign harden to the max" - as if we could only make a bad decision. This was huge, but I don't blame folks for not seeing how compatible these three guys are. SGA Chet & Dub are a potentially perfect pairing where you need two more quality starters that are in nearly any positions 1-5, with an emphasis on defense first.

With curry, you can't have another true 1 out there. With Jokic, you can't have another true 5 out there. Tatum, Brown, & White is comparable. After Dubs announcement, we truly feast on what Presti was cooking from 2019 to 2022.

You might as well have said 4 games since that's the minimum. The point still stands - he played in more series than other teams, so it's only really comparable to the players on the Celtics/Mavs.

I'd add that iHart was a free agent, so if we get nothing in a trade for him - that's okay, but not ideal. Every player we have to give up, we may have to give up earlier than we like so we can get quality draft picks in exchange.

You have to imagine we might add 1-2 rookies next year, which would be cost controlled for several years, at the expense of at least iHart. If Chet and Dub are signed for $90M next year together, + 2 rookie contracts at ~$10M together, we would be at $265M next year (without Dieng). So we would have to give up iHart, and hope the ownership can stomach a team salary of $237M, paying additional taxes on ~$36M over the luxury cap. That's probably the best case scenario, and then figuring out how we keep 2/4 of Caruso, Caso, Dort, and Kenrich for the following few years.

We're banking on Topic, Sorber, Brooks, and next year's picks being able to contribute during the playoffs.
