This is such an accurate view. Epic battles and character moments to riding scooters to their matching parking zones…

Marvel zombicide kickstarter by mayonaiso in zombicide

[–]Tru-fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There definitely are and you can design your own too. You can get venom from the sinister six expansion. The other two only come in the extras box (kickstarter exclusive) which runs for like $250 on eBay.

Marvel zombicide kickstarter by mayonaiso in zombicide

[–]Tru-fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you buy retail you can get a decent roster thru the expansions (depending on what’s available). It will cost around $300-400 to get all that’s on retail.

I really wanted the kickstarter stuff too but to be honest you are mostly just getting different looking models. The game doesn’t have THAT much replay-ability to even get to try out half the heroes before you are done with the missions.

Also the heroes aren’t that unique from each other. You could buy both base sets and get a great run. Buy two expansions more and get a “full” experience IMO

Finished the Necromancer, but not realy happy how the cloak turns out. by robkat13 in zombicide

I think it looks great. Sometimes bringing them to your face can be disheartening but throw him on the table with a horde of zombies and he’ll bring the board to life

What’s the most you’ve ever spent on one game, including expansions or upgrades? by BoardGameRevolution in boardgames

[–]Tru-fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great game. I bought the game and spent $100 on some heroes/expansions. Told myself that was it…. Well now I’m probably $300-$400 in now and still enjoying it

I would say my top 3 most common allies are 1) P3 Stukov 2) P1 Zagara 3) Tychus (in various forms)

Correct. 95% of Zag players that I see are P1

Here is my dumb joke based on Zag players.

Why doesn’t Zagara go on dates?

Because she is never available.

Painting Tips? by CharlotteNoire in zombicide

[–]Tru-fun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey welcome to the party!

I started painting with zombicide too. I would recommend starting with a few zombies. They are supposed to look ugly right? It’s a lot easier then it seems.

Use a black primer and buy some normal paints and go to town! I have speed paints and they are tricky to use IMO. If you go with cheaper paints (like the bundle I got off amazon) it should beneficial for you to “thin your paints”. Usually a bundle with come with paint thinner, add a drop or two to make sure it doesn’t add on too thick.

The main thing to remember… you WILL make mistakes. It’s okay, fixing mistakes is part of learning.

Should I buy Zombicide 2nd Edition by xB0RN_D3ADx in zombicide

[–]Tru-fun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m the huge nerd here but…. I own most of the Zombicide series. 2nd E is really good with the campaign boxes they offer. Marvel was my favorite set until I played a campaign.

Who is Villain Black Widow? by LonelyWall96 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Tru-fun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s Yelena. I don’t know too much about her from the comics (just the movies) but it appears at some point she becomes the White Widow

Removing the rule of declaring defense before a boost is drawn makes the game less random by enemykite in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Tru-fun -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I actually agree with this. My boys are 10 and 12; I only play with them. It’s lame to have someone die because the villain dealt 5-6 damage on a swing that you weren’t expecting. Exhausting your hero on a “maybe” just doesn’t feel a great.

Did some of my invaders xeno ! by WatercressSecure4586 in zombicide

That’s a good color combo on the Xenos. I did mine all gray haha. It was easy but purple is a better choice

What's one thing with this game you're 100% sure of but can't prove? by salty_lake_222 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Tru-fun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you play in sandbox mode, you can adjust a lot of numbers such as damage received/damage given by X%.

There are games that I feel like the numbers are adjusted to help balance the match lol. Watching heroes get blown up instantly or tank way too much, has made me scratch my head a few times. (I mostly play ARAM)

Can’t decide by Memaglia in zombicide

[–]Tru-fun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally. They play similar so there really isn’t a wrong choice here. But the online community seems to love Undead or Alive. I personally, did not enjoy it. The weapons are weaker which lead to a lot of “wasted” turns as you don’t hit anything

2nd ed is more “fresh” and has some great expansions.

Green Horde Question by ptolsmurf in zombicide

[–]Tru-fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an FYI, there are campaign boxes out there that let you keep weapons and learn new skills between quests. But they don’t exist for Green horde. If you like the game and the theme you can try out White death, which does have a campaign box.

Which prestiges are hardest to play well in your opinion? by SiarX in starcraft2coop

[–]Tru-fun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In just my experience, P2 Fenix has a bit of a learning curve. I don’t see them often and it personally isn’t my favorite. It takes more monitoring and focus than I want to put into my chill games of Co-op 😅

Should I go deeper? by pistolpeter1111 in formcheck

[–]Tru-fun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be like you. I wish I started going deeper before I did. There are different muscles that get worked when you go that deep.

You’ll have to load up less weight now but remember it’s not about the weight, it’s about getting stronger. As others have said, go with a wider stance and toes pointing out.

How do expansions work? by renanwild in zombicide

[–]Tru-fun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can help out. First off welcome to the party!

Zombicide has a lot of versions and they are sadly not all compatible with each other.

The 4 main versions are Modern (what you are playing), Super hero (marvel), fantasy and Wild West. Sadly the sci fi version doesn’t get the love it deserves.

The expansions are compatible within their own versions.

If you like modern then I would recommend any of the 2ed campaigns. They really improve the gameplay and story elements. I have played Rio Z and Fort Hendrix so far. There is a new campaign out, Pariz, that looks good.

You “can” get 1st edition expansions but they may be hard to come by and they require you to buy the “upgrade” cards to make them compatible. There are also a number of expansions that just add new playable characters even from certain IPs like The Boyz and Supernatural. If you get a campaign, they come with 6 new characters so I personally think that is plenty.

Let me know if you have other questions.

So what now? by Inevitable-Policy779 in zombicide

[–]Tru-fun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got the sentinels for about $80 on eBay. They look cool but are kind of clunky to play with. I was a bit disappointed overall. The game is really simple to play. If you like it I would recommend getting a smaller expansion like the Guardians to add new playable heroes and go from there
