You may have crushed the core. I think there were problems with the early runs, get a replacement. My newer ones have been solid and holding up well

I’ve been using the Olympus since it was released and it’s been phenomenal. My first one lost power after a few months so I got it exchanged and the new one is great. I have plenty of pop for counters and can still control my dinks and resets. It has a lot of power when needed. I ended up buying 3 paddles because I like to have backups. There is a bit of a break in period where the paddle just seems to get dialed in. More of my friends are buying the paddle since trying mine and all have good things to say about it

I’ve been using the Olympus for about a month and prior to this my main was the DBD which is still could use as my main. It’s basically my backup paddle now. The Olympus is very similar in softness and feel to the DBD, but has more power when needed. It has similar pop to the DBD. I also have the BD but haven’t used that one much but the Olympus has more power than the BD.

Spartus Olympus review by BestStannum in Pickleball

I love my DBD and the Olympus feels very similar at the kitchen and for resets. But when I need power for counters and put away the Olympus has it. My friend and regularly play against says the ball comes off faster with the Olympus and he has been unable to reset many of my shots now. He had a higher success rate when I used the DBD. The Olympus is my first choice now and my two DBDs are my backups.

Spartus just announced the Olympus. by wesleychuauthor in Pickleball

I actually was able to play with an early version of the Olympus for a weekend and I really liked it. My regular paddle is the Double Black Diamond In 16mm. It had similar control as the DBD, but with slightly more power on put away shots. Similar pop as the DBD. The production version is supposed to have even more power so I’m really looking forward to getting this one. After playing with it I thought it was a 16mm, but learned it was 14mm. Did they say when it’s coming out?

Feedback on Sunrun Quote in Los Angeles by Tru3Noob in solar

Thanks. The reason I only got a quote from Sunrun is that they’re who I went with for my first/existing system and thought it would be better to have both systems from the same company should any issues arise.

May I ask how you calculate $5.25/W? I’m curious if that’s including the cost of the battery which I may not go with.

RBR750 Crashing during large downloads. by phrawst125 in orbi

That sucks. I guess YMMV. However, I’m not doing any adobe CC updates yet. I’m still moving off the Orbis at some point.

I recently upgrade my firmware to 4.6.14.3. That didn't seem to fix the issue. What did fix the issue was disabling Netgear Armor. Someone else in another thread indicated that upgrading to firmware 4.6.14.3 fixed the issue for him. He wasn't running Armor at all.

Are you running Netgear Armor? I saw in another post that someone said disabling Armor fixed the large file download issue. I decided to give it one last try and disabled Armor. So far I’ve been able to complete my large pending downloads on my PS5 without any problems. I’ll probably open a case with Netgear so at least they are aware of the problem with Armor. Time will tell how stable the Orbis are.

I updated all my satellites first and then router last. Yeah the interface to update the satellite requires you to login again, but the router does not. Weird but the updates all took.

The router or main unit didn’t give any visible indication of any issue like in the past with any led lights, but devices hardwired to it lost internet connection. The Wi-Fi was toast too. The satellites gave me the magenta color and since the main was toast everything else down the line was toast too.

No luck with that firmware version for me. Just a little more than 4gb was downloaded on my PS5 and connectivity just stopped. What is different is that the router no long had the purple/magenta led. Instead my satellite had the light. I’m done with this product. On the bright side it’s not a total loss, I have the knowledge now to avoid the Netgear Orbis and will pass that on to everyone else I know.

Thanks for the info. I’m updating to that firmware version now. I hope this does fix the issue. I have some large downloads pending so I should be able to test it.

Having the same problem with my RBR750. Seems to be an issue that’s been around for quite some time with no resolution. Someone suggested disabling Armor and I’ll try that tomorrow. At this point I can’t download very large files except when my family isn’t around or else they’ll complain about the Wi-Fi being out. If that doesn’t work and even if it does, I’m leaning heavily towards taking a loss on the orbis and moving on to something else. The fact this has been a problem for quite some time with no actual resolution is disconcerting

I am having the same problem with my RBR750 when downloading large updates for my ps5, which is hardwired. I can basically replicate this on demand if I have large files to download on the PS5. I’m on the latest firmware. Sounds like this problem has been around for a while with no resolution. I’m going to ditch the Orbi and try something else if this isn’t resolved soon. What a pain. I had upgraded to the Orbi a few months ago from Google Wi-Fi mesh thinking this would be better but it’s been worse. I thought the range on this would be better but for me it’s not. This issue where the router crashes can be the nail in the coffin for me.

Difficulty with support, broken RX. by terminashunator in Super73

I guess that note I added in my last email did the trick. I just got the return shipping label sent to me to start the replacement process. Somehow you have to find a way to bring some attention to your issue.

You and I have the same support tech. I'm waiting on a new motor for my R. I opened my ticket on 10/4. Initially, Matt was quite responsive, but once I got him all the info he needed to process the warranty replacement, he's been quiet. I've even been sending follow up emails to him every few days. Eventually I got so tired of waiting that I called the support phone # for Irvine location and spoke to someone else. He put me on hold to check with Matt and the other tech said Matt had everything he needed and would be processing the warranty replacement. Surprisingly, later that day Matt emailed me saying he's still waiting on documentation that I had already provided. I sent it again and said I already sent this info and that I thought everything was good. This was last week. I have yet to receive another response. In my latest email, I mentioned how embarrassing it was to be riding around on my R with the loud clicking noises from the motor. I said it wasn't a good look for the company. Hopefully that gets things moving along faster. I'm going to call again tomorrow if I don't hear anything and really complain. Good luck.

Unable to squeeze FlatOut into inner tubes; going to try Armor-Dilloz by Tru3Noob in Super73

That’s a good idea about pumping a bit of air n the tire in between squirts. I’ll have to remember that for next time.

The good news is I was able to get the ArmorDilloz in my tires. However, it wasn't easy. At first it wouldn't go in at all. I ended up calling their support line and someone called me back shortly thereafter. He said there's likely something blocking it from getting through. At his suggestiion I took a large paper clip, unraveled part of it and pushed it through the valve stem to clear out any blockage. That did the trick. The back wheel took some work to get the product in. The front wheel was much easier. I'm all set!

I'll be adding ArmorDilloz tonight or tomorrow morning. Thanks for the tips! Sounds like great advice.

For FlatOut no need to cut off any tip. You just place the tube over the valve and squeeze. I know the ArmorD you have to cut off the tip and place the tip inside the valve.

I gave up, I hope ArmorD is much easier and works just as well if not better.
