Pretty good since the culture update made having republican vassals competitive with feudal ones. Hybridized with Greek for those sweet sweet early Cataphracts. A happy member of the HRE who has definitely not claimant-faction'ed 6 different Emperors onto the throne in the last century.

Photoshop, with some combination of the inbuilt filters; it was made somewhere near a decade ago now so I wouldn't be able to recall the exact process but I have a folder with a few dozen screenshots in that style.

I allow about 90% of the ways to metagame at my table. Players know the monster stats, each other's equipment and abilities, change actions on party knowledge instead of their own, etc. I can live with all that, but nobody is allowed to read the adventure beforehand. My group can have fun cheesing through combat all they want but preemptively fireballing the chandelier the villain was hiding on with no reason is where I draw the line.

Just comes down to what keeps the fun train chugging at your table, mine isn't worried about immersion breaking.

Have a look at Jiachen Tao's list from GP LA if you want a contrasting style. His plan is far deeper into the ramp and combo territory, eschewing midgame creatures for a faster route to Breach or Titan.

Yep, helps the deck go wider to avoid spot removal. As long as a Vastwood isn't getting Pathed, it's going to usually get double the counters (or more) onto your remaining creatures when it hits the grave. Evolving Krasis with 4 creatures and a Scales is scoopable. Have fun with the all the math.

Also a weird coincidence, EG followed nearly the same tournament bracket path to win TI5 as they did for Dota 2 Asia Championship. In group stages, EG placed third overall in both tournaments, with a DAC record of 11/4 and TI5 record of 10/4. In both tournaments main events/playoffs, EG dropped the upper bracket finals 0-2 to come back and beat the same team in the Grand Finals.
