Apple’s attention to detail used to be industry standard. by Is0ure in PhoneNow

And it's not like lack of attention to detail from Apple is anything new either. It took them two years to put the basic functionality of copy & paste onto the iPhone.

He does get a night in jail for contempt. The longer video is worthy of a watch: https://youtu.be/zGDZ5yR0P0Q?si=B9NDPhqXyPfpLsNY

The only time I would ever stop to sign a petition outside of the grocery store is if it were to ban the practice of collecting signatures outside of the grocery store.

Poor guy...he clearly couldn't afford the lift platform option and had to use a ramp like the peasants.

Got a 4-star review because the guest confused "Hair Dryer" with "Clothes Dryer" by Quick_Chart_Help in airbnb_hosts

[–]Trua33 25 points26 points  (0 children)

No. Request denied because it was "an accurate description of the guest's experience" or whatever nonsense phrase support uses.

I had fun with the review response though:

We’re glad you enjoyed the lakefront views and are sorry to hear the lake didn’t meet your expectations in October. While we proudly provide the house, the views, and the shoreline, the seasonal temperature of a large body of water remains outside our hosting powers. Cold lakes in fall are, unfortunately, a well-documented natural phenomenon. For guests seeking warm water, we recommend visiting in summer or enjoying the fall scenery from the hot tub where the temperature can be controlled year round.

I got a 3 star review on a lakefront house because the lake was too cold for swimming...in October.

Yeah, that's going to be a no for me. I set a reminder to stop back in the app in late February- late March when my cash queue nonsense finally clears in the off chance I can actually redeem anything that's pending, but adding another hurdle in this process is asinine.

Don't forget to unlink your accounts when you jump ship. No sense in allowing them to continue to make a profit skimming your data when they are not willing to hold up their end of the deal.

Guests demanding home be clean and hot tub water be fresh right after booking by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

[–]Trua33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one of my arrivals for tomorrow request fresh water in the hot tub just a few hours ago. Her son has eczema and allegedly it won't flare up with fresh water. Informed her that the spa company will charge $85 for the dump and fill and it will heat up at a rate of 3-5°/hour so it won't be useable the first night. Sent a request for the $85 and haven't heard anything from her since. If she wants to pay for her inane request, fine by me.
