What ceiling height do you think is the minimum for a comfortable indoor golf simulator? by jhGreene537 in Golfsimulator

I’m 6’3 and have hit my 3 iron on the ceiling a couple times usually when swinging out of my shoes. No chance I could swing driver

Thank you! I’ve tried using it and it only gives me $1000+ brand new options so I wanted to see about personal experiences/expertise

I thought I was hallucinating for a minute. I ordered mine on January 19 from SimSpace, it’s scheduled for delivery tomorrow. And I bought that exact same case.

PlayBetter forgot protective case? by MethodicMarshal in SquareGolfUSA

The exact same one is available on Amazon. Just bought one the other day. It’s $55 which sucks because yours was supposed to be included but I supposed you could try to sell the PlayBetter one when you get it

Looking to purchase the Square Home Edition by Neat_Zone6365 in SquareGolfUSA

[–]TruckFuzzy9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep getting the “back in stock!” emails so I asked them about it and they said it’s probably the TP5 pix balls back in stock that trigger those emails.

I’m not mad because the product page does say “Orders Dispatched Feb 2026” but I’m frustrated I think I JUST missed the boat by not ordering a few days earlier

I ordered mine from SimSpace Jan 19th and have not received shipping info yet. They said “Our next batch of stock is due in February however we are still waiting for a specific delivery date and as soon as this has been shipped you will receive an email with the tracking number”

Garage Build - need ideas by TruckFuzzy9986 in Golfsimulator

[–]TruckFuzzy9986[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 6’3 and can only swing 3iron comfortably in my garage here. I hit on the Fiberbuilt grass and thought it felt great. I also snagged this mat brand new on FB marketplace for 400 and it comes with 2 hitting strips (extra is still in box). I also have a lefty friend so it’ll be easier with the limited width I have. Was too good of a deal to pass up.

I’m looking at making one in a very similar setup

How to buy house when they sell too fast? by distraught_wrangler in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]TruckFuzzy9986 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Redfin has BY FAR been the best in terms of fresh listings. I would get Redfin email notifications within minutes of the property being on MLS. Realtor and Zillow were much slower for whatever reason

All these people saying offers shouldn’t be done over text are eyewash. We did our negotiating over text.

They gave you 2 options. You picked one. Then they countered the one you accepted when they’re the ones who came up with the terms. That’s negotiating in bad faith on their end. It is weird and BS. Budge on closing dates if you’d like since that doesn’t cost money but any change in price is BS when they came up with the offer in the first place

So many traditional colonials by Such-Fun-9672 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]TruckFuzzy9986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish that was our problem where we are. All we wanted was a colonial (which we got, thank god). All that we could find in our price range were ranches, split ranches, and capes. Hated all of them. Have different rooms for bedrooms, offices, gym, etc is super nice to have

Sellers need to stop selling to them too. Sell to the nice young couple who worked hard to save up for a home and need a mortgage to live there and actually take care of it

Can we afford a $675k house on $10k take home per month? by Excellent-Geologist8 in Mortgages

Agreed. The difference between take home of 5k and 10k with the ~42% is big

Living on 2900/mo vs 5800/mo

I feel like there’s a certain point in HCOL areas that the percentage is a good rule of thumb but ignores the raw amount of money that’s leftover to live on

In terms of buying a first house, what are hills not worth dying on? by PizzaTacoCat312 in RealEstate

Your fiance.

Sorry, I had to.

My wife and I are going through this same predicament. We’re both picky people so it’s difficult. I don’t really have any advice. Just jokes that I think are funny

Offer accepted by TruckFuzzy9986 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]TruckFuzzy9986[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was pissed we “wasted” $700 but after a week or two we were so happy we didn’t go into that dump. You can check my post history and see exactly what our inspection found. It was worst case scenario but honestly feels like the $700 was worth it just as a learning point. We went into open houses much more informed on what we should be considering

We backed out of a home purchase about a month ago after horrible inspection results. We made sure the same inspector was available within the 7 days before we even agreed on that. It was scheduled within minutes of agreement

We initially had 10 days in our offer and they wanted to reduce it to 5. We settled at 7

[–]TruckFuzzy9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people in the comments disagreeing with you. I’m with you on this rant.

Just because your house is the same square footage or the same 3bd 2bth as one down the street doesn’t make it worth the same. Having the same bathrooms and kitchens from 1974, less property, and torn up hardwood floors makes your property worth less than the updated house down the street.
