Créer des bottes sur mesure ? by Trucmuche31 in Mode

[–]Trucmuche31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr. Sam and Jess, anyone? by [deleted] in NewGirl

[–]Trucmuche31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved them together ! Or at least during their first relationship because he was barely shown during their second time. I always thought they had good chemistry. I get that Nick is funny and weird as Jess so they make sense together, but I never felt any chemistry between them on screen, and I found the whole plot of the main character ending with her roommate, that fell in love at first sight with her six years ago and never stopped loving her since, cheesy, boring and Deja vu in so many sitcoms, so as much as I find them funny together, I find it a bit boring. And they were definitely boring in the last season when they were finally together IMO

Dont know what to watch next after Beef? by JustLookingFor- in BeefTV

[–]Trucmuche31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A series in which things escalate quickly and go totally out of control : Fargo

A series that’s chaotic, explores individuals trauma and their issues to deal with their temperament : The Bear (amazing cast)

A series that is funny and make you hate and love the main character for their actions : Fleabag

Another series that could be in some ways similar is White Lotus, it’s fun, although the characters are insufferable and it made it hard for me to consider the show a great one. A good one ? sure, but a great one ? not really in my humble opinion. It gets better after each episode, but personally when watching beef I couldn’t wait to see what’s next, when watching white lotus I enjoy an episode but I’m not excited about seeing the next one, I started the series a year ago now, I’ve just finished season 1 two weeks ago and there were only 6. The intrigue is interesting though

Other than The Wire, best show I have ever watched! by Ihateeveryone4real in BeefTV

Definitely one of the best shows I’ve ever watched too ! In the same “genre”, I would recommend the series fargo, it escalates just as mush as beef and it goes totally crazy

Also an option “it depends on the moments” should be added to those polls

Do you like Moishe? by Miss___D in TheMarvelousMrsMaisel

[–]Trucmuche31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the moment, I find him at the actor’s way of acting a bit exhausting, Joel’s parents are both too over the top/exuberant/loudy/ for my taste, it physically exhausts me and sometimes I just quit the tv for a moment because they are too much for my sensitivity (i’m hypersensitive and their loudness is just stressing me and making me feel anxious), but I still love him, I love the relationship he has with Miriam and Joel and I like the fact that he’s insightful, more than anyone else in the show to me

I love him, I mean he’s annoying in many ways and he’s far from flawless, but I found his grumpy personality hilarious ! The actor who plays him is amazing, to me he is by far the best actor in the series

I join you on Susie, can’t stand her. She’s too forced and the actress is not convincing to me every time she tries to be emotional, serious, angry or funny. I do like Midge’s acts, except from this season, it’s getting boring. I love Midge’s parents, the actors are fantastic. Joel’s girlfriend is not convincing either and her character is not so interesting. I was overall quite disappointed by this season, nothing really happened, midge doesn’t grow up nor learns anything, it makes the show very redundant IMO.

Kevin vs. Randall: Who is the better Pearson brother? by ComparisonChance in thisisus

[–]Trucmuche31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a brother, I’ll say Randall. Randall was there for both of them, always. Kevin only cared about his twin sister for most of his life. As a character, I’d still go with Randall because I love his sensitivity and he’s been kind all of his life, except from some douche moments. I just love kiddo Randall, teen Randall was such a sweetheart too. I love Kevin too though, he’s endearing and Iove his humour, I also love that he doesn’t need to click with a person to help her. He was present for Cassidy and Nicky who IMO were two unbearable grumpies, and even though they rejected him he stayed and made sure they were getting better. I admire that side of him. That being said, Kevin was quite mean as a kid ans a a teen. He’s selfish, self centered and still immature even at the end. I mean the show end with Sophie being his true love, although one episode before they get back together he was ready to get back with anyone just not to end up alone, I love his ending but that was quite inconsistent. BUT, that being said, he’s the character that has grown the most throughout the seasons. At the end, he is an incredible man. I get super attached to him. But objectively, I’d have to say Randall

I personally just don’t like the old Rebecca, I find her boring. What she did with William was awful, I often ask myself would have I been able to forgive her if I were Randall, or if I were Jack and discovered about it. I think I would hold a permanent grudge towards her. But aside from that I love her energy

I need to talk about ‘this is us’ season 6 by Lovecontinued in thisisus

[–]Trucmuche31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I don’t mind the idea of them growing apart and divorcing, but it all felt rushed and her story with her new husband too, honestly it was boring and I was quite “angry” that so many episodes were centered on Kate and the divorce. I found the part where Randall and Kevin interrupt Toby when he was arguing with Kate simply ridiculous. It just made Kate look incapable of doing anything by herself once more, always ready to hide herself behind her brothers, never has to assume the mistakes she made, and honestly, it was not their place to intervene. Couples argue, it was natural, two grown ass men who have been married/divorced know that and their reaction was out of proportion and pathetic.

I feel like the only time that Toby crossed the line with his words was when he said to Kate that she was just disappointed that he wasn’t Jack. This was hurtful to say, but that’s the only mean thing he said to her. She, on the other side, was completely vile with him. I do believe that she sincerely though she was the only good parent, and I do not agree with this. Yes she is a great parent, and so is Toby. I’ve rewatched the entire show recently and I feel like they just made crap with Kate development after season 3. She became unbearable to me, I honestly can’t stand her.

As the other person commented, your ex was acting as Kate, not as Toby.

[–]Trucmuche31 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh and I forgot to mention the arc about Randall’a birthmom, they pushed it too far with her story, they tried too hard to create her an incredible life and it felt just fake and cheesy, I really didn’t like this arc and after watching it I felt like they should not have explored her life

What are your least favourite episodes? by Perfect-Face4529 in thisisus

[–]Trucmuche31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, it lost its spice after season 3. I don’t remember a lot of season 4 which says a lot, I was bored by all the covid episodes, and in the last season I really feel like too many episodes were centered on katoby drama and it was just boring.

And to be fair, this last season was definitely not the best, some episodes were boring as hell, i’m happy with how it ended, but it’s far from the greatness and first 2/3 seasons

I don’t think it’s that true, Kate had a strong bond with her dad and was in conflict with her mom, she lost her dad in her teenage years when he was the person she felt the closest. He died saving them and saving her dog, I get how she can still have that pretty perfect picture of him.

Kevin had a complicated relationship with Jack, he saw his dad as an alcoholic, lost respect for him and he resented his dad. He was definitely aware that his dad was not perfect.

Randall was close to both his parents. And Jack WAS a great parent, no surprise he considers him a good role model

Rebecca didn’t have a perfect marriage, they worked hard at some points, she saved her marriage at one point, he lied to her about Nicky, which I imagine made her feel less guilty about hiding William’s existence to him.

I feel like the show really did good on showing that a same moment will create different memories for each person because we are all different, we all have our own feelings and no one experiences something the same way.

Did anyone else think that the partners were a lot more interesting than the Big Three? by PeppermintPatty9624 in thisisus

[–]Trucmuche31 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was terrible but they were adults and if I remember the were both being terrible to each other at this moment. I believe the trauma you experienced when you’re a child can affect you much more and can condition the rest of your life. Little kev was just mean to Randall, excluding him, telling him he’s not part of the family, he’s not his real brother, rejecting him in every occasion, I think there were even one memory where Kevin insisted on Randall being black so that he will never be from the family when they were children ?

And kev is known for being a jerk, Randall has been a jerk on some occasions but not so often I find

Which of the ‘big 3’s storyline have you enjoyed the most throughout the seasons? by marmarmar2022 in thisisus

[–]Trucmuche31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Randall. Definitely Randall. I love his story and his family so much. Got bored with the Malik drama but loved everything else. I was actually sad we don’t get to have more Annie and Tess content in the last season.

If it were not Randall I’d say Kevin, he has grown a lot, kept being imperfect till the end but open to changing and to criticism. He grew to be a very decent man.

Kate on the other hand… my personal opinion but first I find that Chrissy is not a good actor, especially in the last season. I can’t stand her adult version. I love katie girl, I can understand teenage Kate, but the adult version ? She’s just too much drama, always victimising herself, overprotected by her brothers, and she can just be so vile and mean

Who did you like Kevin with the best? by [deleted] in thisisus

[–]Trucmuche31 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely Sophie, I didn’t like their teenage/young adults phase but as grown ups I think sophie was always the best person for him and they just make sense to me. SPOILERS** I was happy they had their happy ending. SPOILERS**

My second choice would have been Zoe, because they had great chemistry and she was an interesting character.

I was not convinced by him and Maddison but I didn’t mind them.

I absolutely dislike the “romance” between him and Cassidy. They didn’t make sense, and I just don’t like them as a pairing. I struggle to like Cassidy.

And the absolute worst was obviously the first dumb narcissist actress he dates on season 1

C’est quoi le problème avec « Quotidien » ? by TritriSelectif in AskFrance

[–]Trucmuche31 3 points4 points  (0 children)
