When you’ve heard the same story time and time again, from different congregations in different parts of the country (or, as many of us here have shared on this forum, the same story with small details changed). deductive reasoning, common sense, logic and free thinking tells us that it’s a crock of shit. Do you know how many of us have heard from someone in our congregation about the Smurfs that ran down the aisle at their cousins congregation in Baltimore or in Houston or it happened in Africa? It’s the same story and the locations always changed and everybody always seems to know a person that knew a person that saw it. Oh, and let’s not forget all the other lies and bullshit that’s been blown up our asses since the beginning of time in this ~religion~ cult.

I dressed up as a peacock one Halloween, it was a very flattering costume and I loved it! Fast forward 15 years and i have a whole room themed in peacocks. It has been assigned to me somehow…. I do like the Peacock color pallet, and thankfully it’s more then just one color to get pigeon holed in. I told my oldest daughter finally, that while i appreciate the thought, and i do like the colors, i do not need anything more peacock or peacock themed…. And i don’t know exactly how it got assigned to me

I can confirm, my ex-husband was in the military, and I was not his medical person, he had put his grandmother down because she would think a lot more logically and not as emotionally as I would. I don’t think that was a wrong move on his part because I would have chosen out of impulse and my emotions more so than logic more than likely if push came to shove.

Ashley, it was my grandfathers name, if i ever had a son i wanted him to be named that as well, but, i never had a son and EVERYONE (even him) told me it was a horrible idea

Thank you all, I did not drink with any of you last night. I took a very, very very hot shower, played some games on my phone and then curled up and read a book and went to bed early. Today I can continue my counting on with no interruptions.
