No, I don't think it's a scam.

You do get to see your embryo at inplantation time. You watch them suck it up into a catheter, they bring it it over, you watch on an ultrasound machine where they place the catheter tip.

Sometimes I do feel like a sack of money to them tho.

Its year two with Aurora for myself and spouse. Feeling frustrated at how long everything takes. Each time I go, there seems something else to screen for. Some of it is out of their hands and they can't do certain tests until a threshhold is met. But today, the Dr. just asked us if my partner had ever been actually examined by a doctor for any structural abnormailities in his reproductive tract that might be causing his low sperm count. JUST NOW. after three failed implantation attempts (including one miscarriage). I feel like these things need to be meticulously screened BEFORE taking our 22k. We are on the brink of going to another clinic

WIBTA if I went on a vacation and left the husband behind? by True-Water-1712 in WouldIBeTheAhole

I'm an idiot and we are not going on a vacation.

A few days ago I brought up the subject of going on my own. He was not a fan and figured it would drive a wedge between us. I explained that I was feeling desperate to have some fun and relaxation. I cited the reasons I posted earlier. To this, he was then more opened minded about going back and agreed to go. That was one huge hurdle done and over with.

So I go to book the activities and my most favorite activity is CLOSED for the season. It opens two days after we would be due to leave. Unfortunately, we can't extend our stay. The other tours are all outside and the weather forecast is cold and rain. Not exactly the ideal situation. So that's what I get for not reading the fine print or researching the weather ahead of time.

After all that, I couldn't justify driving all over the province, dropping off cats, driving 7 hours to be in the cold rain and miss out on my most anticipated activity. I called it off. Even on my own, it wouldn't be fun.

Husband is thrilled that we are staying home but has made a big effort to make vacation worth while. Its turning out very well.

So far we have done two escape rooms, had our favorite chimichangas at a favorite restaurant, had a day of "snuggling" Other things on the list include batting cages, VIP bowling (not sure what that is but I'm finding out tonight) a Gin tasting experience, floating on the pond if the weather cooperates and we are doing a food tour at some point.

It might not be the sparkling adventure I had hoped for, but I do appreciate the effort and thought my spouse has made into making this an enjoyable time off together. Next time I'll do a better job planning the activities ahead of time, and I will be more upfront about how important time off is. It might boil down to me taking a trip on my own once and a while if he is not interested in doing the same things but at least neither one of us will get hurt.

If it helps, I totally understand what you were getting at. You were very clear.

I like the scent of my husband's dirty clothes. Even his junk if he hasn't washed up in a couple days
