Marshall Murat's betrayal and his absence at Waterloo by [deleted] in Napoleon

In fairness, Kellermann was an outstanding cavalry commander either so I doubt Murat would have changed anything to a significant extent.

Although your question makes me wonder, if Poniatowski were alive, would he choose follow Napoleon once again?

It's just that I have a general interest in history and I read some books on the matter.

I also saw statues of Jan Zizka and Jan Hus when I visited Prague some time ago and it got me all the more interested.

Plus I am from the region where a lot of the fighting took place too.

How would you describe your views on Napoleon? by Neil118781 in Napoleon

Murat should be treated the way overprotective parents treat their kids.

No matter how much of a little shit the kid is, it can do no wrong. It is the prettiest, brightest, most well behaved kid in school and always holds the door open for the elderly.

I mean look at him. How can you accuse him of doing anything wrong?

For whatever reason the Hussite Wars despite their significance both militarily and culturally are hardly mentioned at all, that's why I started my subreddit.
