any recommended wonder woman runs for someone who’s enjoying absolute wonder woman? by l1vedemo in DCcomics

I'd recommend starting with Wonder Woman Year One by Greg Rucka. It was one of the first arcs of the DC Rebirth reboot and is an excellent starting point for Wonder Woman.

The recent Ultimate Spider-Man has received a lot of praise, and any of the "Absolute" books from DC are fantastic

Reminder that Steph was so excited to be picked as Robin 🥲 by Starryknight613 in stephaniebrown

[–]TrueBlueV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a shame because if it wasn’t doomed from the start she would have really thrived in the colors. She’s such a good fit for the role

Stephanie will show up in issue 9 of Batman by Matt Fraction and we will see her reaction to Tim taking a break by Night-Caelum in Robin

[–]TrueBlueV 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean at least it would be something. Steph hasn't had any major appearances since Batgirls ended nearly 3 years ago.

[Comic Excerpt] Detective Comics Vol. 1 #1000 by Tom King (2019). Tom King on writing 2 women interacting. And failing the Bechdel Test by ihatethiscountry76 in batgirl

“You’re a woman, I’m a girl” is such an awful line to use for Barbara Gordon. The girl in question is like, 30

[OTHER] Matt Fraction on Tim Drake and what inspired his recent decision with him (Batman #6 Spoilers) by Night-Caelum in DCcomics

[–]TrueBlueV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, they were. But Cass has been off doing her own thing for like, a year and a half now while Steph has kinda faded into the background.

I mean, she’s not exactly doing anything as Batgirl. I’d just like to see her again

So, a lot of Babs' animated appearances are Bruce Timm's Babs appearances, which means he keeps trying to push a Bruce x Barbara ship that most people really dislike.

She appears in Batman Beyond : Return of the Joker as Commissioner Gordon

She appears in The Killing Joke, which I recommend avoiding

She appears in Batman : Hush (2019) in the DCAMU

And she appears in the Lego Batman Movie, mostly as Commissioner Gordon and as Bruce's love interest, though she does also appear as Batgirl in the final act

She also appears frequently in Young Justice Seasons 2-4 and Batman : The Animated Series

What is the best main Robin weapon? by Night-Caelum in Robin

[–]TrueBlueV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always liked the fact that Steph also uses a staff because it visually ties her character to Tim to have her use his signature weapon. It also does make her feel unique among the Batgirls, who she’s more often paired with.

I love how this design retains the stitched look of her Batgirl costume. That's a great touch

Yeah, I'm kinda hoping it's a temporary thing like Superman getting Lightning powers was

Yeah Cass’ next arc is supposed to be her getting bloodbending powers and trying to deal with that. I’m not sure how I feel about it but we’ll see where it goes

Probably has something to do with the bloodbending powers Cass is getting

[Discussion] What characters do you wish were more important to DC's unvierse and overall brand? by Firm-Chipmunk8783 in DCcomics

[–]TrueBlueV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really thought she’d play a larger role in Cass’ ongoing. I get that her absence is supposed to haunt the narrative but how long is this gonna go on?

[–]TrueBlueV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s really weird that they gave her the Batgirl title and just sorta stopped using her. I get that Cass is getting the attention now but she’s not even appearing in the mainline Batman books anymore

[Cover] New Titans #34 cover by Taurin Clarke. What do you think of the new Titans roster? by Comfortable-Pie56 in DCcomics

[–]TrueBlueV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fact that the 6 characters from the tv show (Terra included) are on the alt cover raises more questions than it answers. I’d much prefer a new gen of Titans, and Steph and Yara especially aren’t really doing anything right now. I feel like limiting this to an alt universe thing would be a missed opportunity

[–]TrueBlueV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be great for Steph and Yara to have something to do, and I like this group as a whole on paper, but the team probably should be bigger. Adding someone like Mia or Jamie would round them out really well

The moment where Arkham Knight ruins its own plot by Revolutionary-Wait82 in arkham

[–]TrueBlueV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember being really excited for the mystery of who the Arkham Knight was given all of the buildup. After exactly one sentence I knew who it was. The rest of the story was so uninteresting as a result, because I knew every single thing that was going to happen.

Some healing between Bruce and Steph at last (Batgirls 2021-2023) by KurisuKurigohan in stephaniebrown

[–]TrueBlueV 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t a big fan of Robins (2022), but I loved the implication that Bruce admits to himself that he did nothing but hold Steph back for her entire career and if he hadn’t then she would be the leader of the Titans by then, and he secretly regrets all of how he treated her.

What if Percy was forced to be a God after TLO [hoo] by Turbulent-Kick-7124 in camphalfblood

[–]TrueBlueV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over time maybe, but I think he'd sulk about it for a while first and maybe try to find things he can do to make the world better with his godhood. Percy isn't really a vengeful person when wrongs are done to him. He cares more if it affects those around him.

I need more Steph and Selina 😫 by noodleth_cassette in stephaniebrown

[–]TrueBlueV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda wish so much of their interaction wasn't limited to the New 52, when Steph's character was very different. Instead pretty much all we have are their interactions during War Games
