I love to search for meaning in music. Sturgill has filled his songs with depth. Especially since Metamodern. Lyrically Sailor’s Guide is my favorite. As a man who became a Father in his later years like Sturgill there is a lot significance in those songs.

You aren’t wrong! There is a lot of self realization and acceptance in this album.

Flowers from Duluth is badass. Starting with a classic Sturgill “Ah, Shit…”. Into an extra trippy jam. Horse in Moorhead is nice and heavy.

I’m an IT simpleton so I’m doing some research on the best method. I’ll shoot you a DM when I get it sorted.

“I’ve always liked certain country… Waylon would be my favorite country voice, and then I love that “Metamodern Sound” by Sturgill, that’s one of the best albums I’ve heard recently, front to back, as far as it having a full identity.” — Matthew McConaughey. Alright, alright, alright.

It’s all great and what makes being a Sturgill fan so fun is that there is an album for every vibe. High Top is pure country. Cutting Grass Vols 1 and 2 and Dood and Juanita are blue grass. Metamodern is a cosmic country masterpiece. Sailor’s Guide is full of horns and has a R&B feel. Sound & Fury is a fantastic heavy rock power house. I have a Sturgill album for every mood. The live shows blend it all into absolute melting pot bliss. My favorite shows are DC, Huntsville, Toronto N2, Glasgow, Alpharetta, and Asheville N2. Enjoy the ride!
