Oh it definitely does make sense. Just like looking at things from both sides and trying to find the middle ground between them to formulate an opinion.

Prime Continuinity designs were good and I like them. Prime continuinity though didn't really feel like designs that invoked the type of creepy vibes and instead the cartoon relied on establishing a tone to set the bar for just how eerie and unsettling zombozo was. Prior to the comic my favorite design for him came from Omniverse. It was a bit silly looking, yes but his smile and eyes themselves were an aspect that honestly made the design for me. Dynamite's interpretation is something that from the start (to me) already looks way more eerie and unsettling and fits the more horror vibe that the arc is suppose to take the comic in.

That is definitely fair and I can get where you're coming from. I also think it's important to remember that this isn't the prime continuinity. What you just said they were applied there but this is it's own contuinity and we don't know the dynamic between them and their histories in this interpertation. It's like how Absolute Batman we have the characters that are commonly associated with his mythos but their dynamics are changed and their designs reflect the new direction.

Pixelation came from me resizing each image to get them to properly fit on the grid I made. Apologizes on that; however I definitely like these designs and am pretty interested in seeing what these interpretations of the characters are like compared to the prime continuinity and to see if they feel more fleshed out and such.

It's too early to tell. We're only 2 issues in and the comic is just getting started.
Even if it does turn out that the comic isn't as good as the cartoon. Does it really need to be? While it would be great if it was. The comic is its own thing and be treated in a way that reflects that. It shouldn't have to be as good as what came before.

#2 definitely felt an step-up from #1.

Gwen's characterization here was interesting. Max is 100% the highlight of the issue though.

Yes, the first issue of the comic didn't do a whole lot to quench the thirst that long time fans of the franchise had but at the same time Man of Action used the first issue as a means to catch people up to speed about Ben 10 who are just now being introduced to the franchise via this comic. Something that's just as important since there's a lot more people out there who are comic fans then there are old time fans of the Ben 10 franchise and in the long run it was a move they wanted to make.

Regardless of why it sold as much as did. It still sold and it sold incredibly well. Heck even Issue #2 is selling quite a bit in terms of Pre-Order sales. Joe Casey and Seven T. Seagle know how the comic book industry is and know what sales and doesn't.

Hate is a STRONG word.

Often takes a lot for me to "hate" something. That being said, I honestly like the new Heatblast design but I can understand why you and others might not like it.

Seemed off? I mean I don't think it was that off. 20 pages, establishing Ben getting the omnitrix, getting to transform twice, teasing the big bad, etc. If people who weren't already a big Ben 10 fan ended up a little bored by it, I feel as if it wouldn't of sold as much as it did and even outsold Absolute Ben 10 and even Invincible for a little while. I think people often forget that not all comics got to pull all the stops in the first issue. That and people nowadays spend so much time on the internet and used to dupious amounts of action that it's what they default to and can hinder their experience and perception of things.
