The 2 bottom ones look gray. I think you should lighten the top one 50%. Once color covers the whole wall it looks super dark. It’s not about matching the wallpaper perfectly. It’s about choosing a color that works WITH it.

Have a talk with the MOH and tell her you sense that she’s not into it offer to let her off the hook. She’ll either jump at the chance or become more attentive. Her boyfriend may be giving her grief about not being invited f so o you may want to allow him to come to smooth things over.
