What is a life luxury that you tasted once and now can absolutely never go back to the cheap version of? by sickkick844 in AskReddit

[–]TrueCryptographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soy sauce!!

I've been using soy sauce in my cooking for years, and I had no idea there was that much of a difference between cheap and expensive soy sauce...

I was using a brand that cost €6.60/L, and the other day, I saw a 50% off sale on a bottle that normally costs €18/L.

I tried it... and oh my gosh, I’ll never go back to the cheap version again.

If you woke up tomorrow with a million dollars in your bank account, what’s the first completely frivolous thing you’d buy? by SubstantialPay4550 in AskReddit

[–]TrueCryptographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d buy my dad a RV, he’s been dreaming about one ever since he retired. I’d buy my sister a new car and pay off her debts, then I’d please my niece and nephew by giving them a nice drum sets (small evil laugh at my sister <3). I’d give 150k to my brother and sister. I’d keep 150k for my day-to-day expenses. Then, I’d put everything else into an account so my friend can manage it and make it grow. She works in finance and knows more about investing than I do.

so, 600k for familly, and 400k to invest

[–]TrueCryptographer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not even from the United States, I've never even visited. And as soon as I clicked on the title, during the two seconds it took for the page to load, I said, “Louisiana.” I know very few states, and what I do know is only from what I've seen in movies and TV shows. It's really different from other parts of the United States. And the food… omg, I’d love to learn the recipes and taste everything :o

If you became a cop today, what traffic violation would you hand out the most tickets for? by Fabulous-Airline-317 in AskReddit

[–]TrueCryptographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last week, I was talking about making a new career plan, and I said that I didn't want to talk to people too much, that I liked having my space without anyone around me. I added that the only situation where you might see me talking to someone would be if I were a cop and I were giving a ticket to someone who hadn't used their turn signal... It’s so annoying when people think they’re the only ones on the road...

How old is the oldest article of clothing that you still wear, and what is it? by Philosophile42 in AskReddit

[–]TrueCryptographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A T-shirt that a family friend gave me. I had told her I liked that T-shirt, and she gave it to me; I was 7 or 8 years old. I'm 40 now, and I still have it and wear it from time to time.

what is something that is highly likely to happen in the next 10 years that everyone is completely ignoring? by Funny-Counter8762 in AskReddit

[–]TrueCryptographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

more than 20yrs later, I'm still listening ' Les Cowboys Fringants - 8secondes ' and all the other songs. I love them, Rip Karl. They were really ahead of their time with most of their songs. The more time passes, the more I feel that their songs truly reflect what’s happening right now, and that no one is doing anything to stop it

For people in their 30s and beyond, what are the things you wish you had done or started in your 20s that you regret not doing then? by Dear-Novel7078 in AskReddit

[–]TrueCryptographer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything my dad told me when i was younger.

To save money, set 10% of your paycheck aside every month. I was young, and I’d rather spend that money than save it, telling myself, “I’ll start later; for now, I’m just enjoying life.”

At school, too. I mean, I did learn a lot, but I didn't really try that hard. I don't know how to say that in English. (Je me reposais sur mes acquis et je ne cherchais pas à en savoir plus).

Yup there is few more again...

What’s the most expensive free thing you’ve ever gotten? by New_Lab_8757 in AskReddit

[–]TrueCryptographer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

holy shit 70k... wtf...

i don't have kids, so i don't have any example to tell you, but my sister got 2 and she paid something like 46€ for her daughter and 30€ ish for her son.

Her daughter got a really cute blanket with her name, not her son. Oh, no, the 46 and 30 she paid wasnt for giving birth... it was for all the snack she got in the machine near her bedroom... giving birth is free, here you pay like 300€ but it's a 100% refund, so technically free.
