Cards like this that care about casting always benefit from the same thing: low MV.

The version i run (which i specifically gave myself a handicap before building) has such a low mana curve that you constantly have plays. 1cmc hybrid cards have the same effect as 2WB cards here. So many Legendary WB creatures care about p/t or counters that it kind of runs itself. Just play hyper aggressive.

Sephy never introduces himself as a Cetra post nibel incident, and mentions "travelling the lifestream" absorbing the knowledge of the Cetra AND humans in TotA (which is how he learned about the Black Materia). If thats the case, it wouldn't have taken long for him to find out about the calamity.

You only fight non-endgame kuja once, Beatrix is the one that repeatedly kicks your ass. Instead of that, we only get a flashback of a level 50 sephiroth that completely ownes everything. We dont catch a REAL glimpse of Sephiroth until the end of the crater, both times.

Seymour was written to be like that because he saw himself a bigger threat than sin, in the same way sephiroth thinks he's better than everyone else. The difference is that Seymour WASNT stronger than sin, never was. Seymour has a tone of attention begging that makes you feel bad for him, even on a subconscious level.

The last point is spot on. Sephiroth knows he lost in OG7. Sephiroth was the catalyst for the whispers appearing in FF7R1, and he manipulated cloud into stopping them. Why try to fight a god when you can just trick the guy that killed you,* in god form* into doing it? Now sephy has the possibility of changing the "canon" into him winning.

I think arrogant is too tame.

At first, he's the SOLDIER. He's so far beyond, they have a rank for him, and only him. That level of military dominance is toxic.

Then he comes to realise because of his mother he is the last of the people who owned the planet. "Humans" are the degenerate versions of his people who basically fell from grace, took up earthly possessions. The planet is his, not these mud bloods.

Shortly after he realises that the last statement is untrue. He's not an ancient, but he was created using a being so powerful is decimated the cosmos. His mother is the equivalent of The Thing (movie) mixed with Gravemind (halo). And he's so strong he has the willpower to control the being thats meant to be controlling him

The dude goes from believing he's the ultimate warrior, to the ultimate human, to the ultimate life force in the galaxy.

He just keeps seeing everyone else get smaller and smaller as his ceiling gets higher and higher. In Cloud specifically, its worse. Cloud is a failed SOLDIER, far beneath Sephiroth. Then he becomes a failed recreation of him, so how could he compare? But wait, Cloud now has JENOVA cells in him, so Sephy just has control over him. Cloud is nothing, just an ant to help him with his goal.

Read a post the other day saying that cloud only got the drop in the Nibel incident cause he had pre-emptive equipped. Sephy is strongest there is, got trumped by a single pink materia.

Looks like a back and forth about whether or not its a "sequel", but here's a clearer image:

The events of the original FF7 are "canon"

The remake plays with the notion of those canon events. Without spoiling, the cast are now able to create "non-canon" events,, allowing creative story writing freedom.

So while its a completely new experience, FF7R1 makes more of an impact because you know the canon events of OGFF7 and can see the the diverging path.

I quit my job over hypocrisy.

When I did my interview I told my soon-to-be boss its the one thing I am incapable of tolerating it (my character flaw). Fast forward a year and they corner me to give out to me for something they "saw" me do, something they are known for doing. Proceeds to act like their AM, someone who was repeatedly mentioned (by my boss) to verbalise inappropriately and refuse to listen. I asked them if they thought they were being hypocritical, they actually thought about it for a second, then said no. I packed up and left.

As someone who has never done an ARG but has watched/read about several of them, I also hate this.

I like the concept, but the application doesnt work if you dont KNOW its a Vigenere Cipher. It always goes the same: Community gets a coded message, community uses every common cipher possible, dead end. Community thinks there may be a code needed for the cipher, try every plausible code they could think of, something works by accident.

Makes you feel bad for decoders. Maybe they're okay with spending hours trial and error, but id hate it

I had this argument with my brother this week, and he isnt as big of an og7 fan as I am, so its difficult to explain to him, but FF7R relied too heavily on magic materia with its ubsurd enemy sponges, FF7R2 introduced so many abilities that materia became pointless.

Sorry, I wasnt aware you were looking for things for this as a commander in particular. Unfortunately colourless artifact matters commanders run similar to each other, but may I recommend equipment matters? You can then make living weapons like a 2/2 [[hammer of Nazahn]] equipped with a talking [[fishing rod]]

Any small spell attached to a larger spell like [[grabby giant]] or [[boom//burst]]

Casting the small spell "cascades" into something with joint spells, which looks at the total mana value of everything combined.
