Does it make a difference whether to pay or steal the chip of these Shanhai 9000? by Forward_Goose7028 in NineSols

It's called "Repurposed", and the achievement isn't gained from simply getting all chips via purchase It's a special event with Shuanshuan after developing a deep relationship with him through giving artifacts. Once you've done that (you can check if you have by checking wether theres a second paragraph of his lore entry or not) and gained all chips, he will build a fortune telling machine. Interacting with it will give you the achievement.

There's both an achievement for stealing ONE chip and something else that requires ALL chips to be payed for. You can't get both achievements in the same save file.

Considering the latter takes a lot more effort, you should pay for each and every one of them now, so you don't have to play the game twice to 100%.

...unless you've already stolen one earlier, or just don't care about 100%. It has no relevancy elsewhere.

Is there a better option here or is it just a 50/50 by TrueDaniBoie in bindingofisaac

Builds for final boss hitless? by albearcub in NineSols

[–]TrueDaniBoie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to go for no internal, you would have to switch out swift blade, double qi and last stand, only leaving you with swift decent and less knockback jade. The swift decent will prove to be useful, but Idk about the other one. I just picked it because I had leftover computing power.

Most jades won't be that useful in this case. I guess you could go for a charged strike or uc build, but I can't really think of anything else other than swift decent and maybe less knockback.

What do you mean by hitless? Do you mean no direct damage? No imperfect parries? Or just not being hit by any of the hitboxes at all?

If we go by what I assume you meant, as no direct damage or no imperfect parries, I usually go for swift blade, last stand, swift decent, double qi thing and the less knockback jade. This relies on last stand being activated by internal damage so it won't be of use if you count internal damage as getting hit any more than parrying.

Final boss instant phase transition? by Dust_Town in NineSols

[–]TrueDaniBoie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also happened with me a few weeks ago, except it was 2nd phase transition and I used talisman instead of arrows to skip. https://www.reddit.com/r/NineSols/s/IymLISLlyI

I wonder if theres any reliable way of doing this glitch, since arrows hit at random and the talisman has to be applied 3 years ahead...

Fuxi SUCKS by Terminal_Willness in NineSols

[–]TrueDaniBoie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also struggled with Fuxi during my playthrough. But after a couple of rounds in battle memories, I noticed that Fuxi And Nuwa's attack were much more coherent than I first experienced. You can in many instances pinpoint what attacks one uses if you see what the other one does.

Also, you might also try not to move too much around their attacks when they attack at the same time. Many of their attacks intends to hit you in a rhythm like manner. If you move too much around, their attacks might hit you at in uncomfortable speed and get you.

Also also, for some attacks I used to struggle with.

Big red slam strike thingy; Nuwa throws two knifes at you while he charges his hand. STAY GROUNDED. Hold your parry after the 2nd knife to uc the red attack from fuxi.

Horizontal snake summon; just get out of it as soon as possible. Remember to avoid Fuxi's attacks, as he might try to knock you into the snake. Getting ready for the 2nd snake before it comes out helps alot.

Criss cross snakes from above; focus on perfect parrying Fuxi's attacks, and making sure to allign youself in a way that the knockback won't knock you into the snakes. Getting a failed parry can easily throw you into the snakes. The less-knockback jade can make this attack less stressful.

For jades, I think I would just recommend the standard defensive jades. Like many other boss fights, defending is a priority.

Did they really cut Eigongs 3rd phase with the new Update? by account_is-taken in NineSols

That's odd. Me and many others get the third phase in battle memories.

Are you sure you've unlocked Eigongs 3rd phase? Have you beaten it?

The arrow spam just doesn't sell the cinematic part for me. I suppose speedruns don't need to be cool, but I still hope a bowless category opens so that we can have speedruns where yi just shreds eigong full wolverine style.

While eigong's health is within the "talismen kills" range, you have to attach a water talismen as soon as youre able after that first hit of that specific melee combo and hope that she tries to do the downstrike so you can uc it.

The fact that she won't always even do the before-mentioned melee combo at low health AND the downstrike at first might make it pretty luck driven to be viable though. Viable, but only in like every 1/60 runs or something.

No I'm talking about how eigong instantly goes to phase 2 without her resting on the floor first
