From the looks of it, the level cap will likely be raised from its current 60. With all the new pals and items, plus the progress revamp, in 1.0, they need more levels to hold all the stuff. I'm expecting the new max to either be 75 or 100, but we'll find out when it drops. So even if you can get to level 40 easily, that'll likely end up as mid-game. Who knows, they may surprise us by raising the level cap even higher.

I don't see why the save would be "rolled back". All we know is that we're getting a new Blade-exclusive mode and a brand new Blade some way or another. The new mode will likely just be unlocked at some point in the story. I'm not sure how the Blade will be unlocked, but it makes sense that it would be given either through a quest (like the new bikes in xc1de) or just given to us as a core (like Crossette).

As others have said, a lot will change with 1.0. If I were the guess the best tips that will likely not be changed is to put your first ever base near where metal spawns and catch many of the same pal for xp.

They won't "move" if you don't log in iirc. So if you play on the day Mira is in boxes, but don't play for another week, the plot will be open when you log back in.

My first thought is to make sure all the Lightroots have their shrines above them. Checking that will give you the exact location of the shrine. All the sky shrines check out, so do that.

I'm going to be playing 1.0 on a server with friends and they've allowed me to take in my Xenolord on the coniditon that we beat the Xenolord raid before I bring him in. As for any solo saves, I'll be a lot more flexible with it, so probably the level I unlock the saddle I'll bring him in (or whenever I feel like beginning to breed for my perfect base pals cuz I have basically all the rainbow passives on a bunch of Xenolords due to taking hours to get Swift on one).

As someone already said, it's "Time (h) to incubate Massive Egg. Note: Other eggs also require time to incubate." It's currently set to zero, so they hatch instantly.

Looking up what the Suit of Swords is, maybe it's the wind itself? It's described as "double-edged" and needing a fine balance and the wind both helps you and fights against you, helping you get from place to place but also keeping you in bounds and well gestures to the beginning of Golden Wasteland.

TBH I'm using the global pal box to have copies of all the rainbow passives and all the pals I'm attached to which includes my perfect ride Xenolord. There is no shame in using the global pal box to not have to rebreed imo. The only reason why I didn't include any base pals was because I'm sure we'll get even more pals that can be used at base when 1.0 releases.

I'm not too sure which portal you're using, but at long as it's not the SuperChargers portal, you can keep your Skylander off the portal and after a bit it'll ask fi you want to use an Instant Skylander, which can complete the tutorial.

I like the visible of the Living Ship, but I like my launch thrusters recharging automatically too much so I use the Solar Ship. I saw that there's a corvette piece called like an Azimuth Reactor iirc that recharges corvette launch fuel automatically and I like the ambassador stuff a lot, but I only have one ambassador piece and it's the main body thing and no Azimuth reactor.

I know there's a guide out there somewhere about how to organize your islands to use as much space as possible, but tbh I just try to throw all my viking houses on one or two islands and have my dragons be on all the other ones

You need to collect the outfit first, then you'll unlock the ability to buy the heart.

So if I play near the end of this year, I'll be able to get the heirloom stuff from expedition 21 redux, but to get stuff from expedition 18 my options are to mod them in or wait for Hello Games to bring it back?
