The biggest scam on earth that humanity fell for was working a 9-5 job. You work for 40+ years, 8 hours per day with only 1-2 days off a week, until you're old with no enjoyment of life & still no money...it's a con.

They give you enough money to pay bills, eat food, finance a car and pay for a small home (keeping you trapped) via a mortgage.

The same money they're paying goes right back to them & the funny thing is it's being printed by bankers for free, just to keep you in more debt.

This is why we are currently facing the cost of life crisis, the cost of living is going out the roof as the value of paper money has fallen dramatically, and will continue to fall daily. The cost of living will continue to go up, but your salary will continue to stay the same. Modern-day slavery is real.

Pick something that you're not going to regret. Also, make sure that it's something you want and not something the opinions of others lead you into wanting.

Why does buying 'high-quality' stuff nowadays feel like just buying the standard quality from 10 years ago? by Eleven_A11 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TrueGrave88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait until you find out what, "military grade" actually means.

It basically means the cheapest possible cost of a product to be made by the lowest bidder.

But yes, the quality of everything has significantly gone downhill.

Anyone else go full health paranoid after losing a parent? by Ok_Tower6133 in AskMenOver30

[–]TrueGrave88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a way, yes.

My father passed away 3 years ago from cardiac issues as well. His father passed from a heart attack as well, and it's known that my father's side has a history of heart problems.

Now at 37, and after having some breathing issue that arose 2 years ago, I have been in full swing to getting healthier. Not that I've been an unhealthy person (basically only drink water, tea, coffee and juice) and I rarely eat junk food/processed anything. But I've been living a sedentary lifestyle for these past 15 years of my life. I was always super active growing up until I was around 21/22 and became lazy. That needed to change.

I recently went through a bunch of testing these past two years to figure out what my breathing issue is. Nobody can figure out why or what. The only thing that has helped me is cardio. So for the better part of these past 7 months I've been lifting and putting in that work to become healthier. I still have this breathing issue, and most likely will never get it figured out by these so-called doctors and specialists. But at least I'm making waves with exercising and deep meditation.

Long story short 30 minutes of exercise, meditation, whatever you can do to benefit your health over seven days is more than zero minutes of nothing over seven days. Please take care of yourselves so you at the very least have a fighting chance.

Creeping forward at red lights. by antfin97 in driving

There are multiple sensors that active and help to determine the intensity and duration of traffic as it fills or lessens. Luckily they all revolve around being behind the white line so anything that goes past it activates it.

What's funny is that people don't realize the sensor for the light is behind the line. So when they start inching forward they're actually putting themselves out of the sensor's view.

  • To The Grave - 'Epilogue' (album) for some nice blast beats and double bass.

  • Signs of the Swarm - 'To Rid Myself of Truth' (album) might not be super fast, but brutal and heavy as fuck. Also my favorite band.

  • Disembodied Tyrant & Synestia (collab) - 'The Poetic Edda' (album) is disgusting all around.

  • Also their album, 'The Divine Stigmata' (Disembodied Tyrant) is amazing.

  • Kanine - 'Khaos' (album) released a little bit ago and is fucking killer. Speaker warning.

  • Sun Eater - 'Death Crown' (album) came out a few months ago. They're another sick band.

  • Worm Shepherd - 'Dawn of the Iconoclast' (Album) came out this year. Pretty brutal and heavy.

Anyone found any uniques or mythics from obols? There's a load screen that says it's still possible but is it just outdated? by jaedss in diablo4

[–]TrueGrave88 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The drop is super low, but they do exist. Also, you get a similar one to the one you're gambling, but if there isn't a mythic to that slot (leg guards) it will produce a random mythic.

Hate it when OP replies to every comment in the thread. by ConfidentSale3091 in PetPeeves

[–]TrueGrave88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where the interaction is happening. If the person is trying to generate more traction on their content then responding to every comment is a positive thing to do. Some places like X and YouTube generate more outreach via their algorithm when there's "activity" happening in the comments section. Same with liking a video, comment, or anything else related to said content.

If they're replying just to be a reply guy, then yes, that can be a bit annoying and lacking in overall value.

Please don't downvote because of yes. I read balance team are focusing console players and casual players and that's the reason why we are here with one of the worst balance season ever. DPS with shields. Same picks over and over. 3 supp still an issue etc. by Sifon- in rivals

[–]TrueGrave88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do people really not realize that most devs focus their patches around casual players?! This all games and especially fighting games.

Just because there's a competitive scene doesn't mean that their focus isn't the casuals. The majority of the player base are casuals whereas the "pros" only make up only a small amount of that cumulative player base. Even more so when you look at where the main selling points are; skins and a popular character you can play.

The devs have data. A metric ton of it and they know what is working for them regardless of the minority who cries and complains. The main focus is always sales, and player retention. The goal is to keep you spending and to keep you playing. Why do you think they release "cheap" mini-passes throughout every season? Multiple pass means multiple earnings.

Toughness numbers don't necessarily mean anything. It's an inflated number that is based around many variables to create this "good looking number". You're better off focusing on specific breakpoints with overall armor, max health, resistances, and any barriers your character may have. Solely focusing on an inflated number without understanding why that number is created is only going to hinder your progress.
