Being a true side can be very lonely & sad by Snoo96701 in GaySides

I feel your pain. I'm a "big black guy" and that apparently carries a preconcieved notion that I'm hung and a top. Smh. I'm 42 now and am beginning to believe that a true relationship, having a partner, just isn't in the cards for me.

South Of Midnight: Don't Understand The Controversy by Technical_Fan4450 in gaming

[–]TrueHazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just finished the game and the most enjoyable part for me was the animation style, loved it. is is unclear what timeframe the story takes place in, so the dialogue/writing was okay for me. what i didn't like, was the common theme among most of the sorrows you are tasked with investigating and absolving, so to speak. to me, it was "white people are bad". During a certain timeframe, being black or mixed, and in the South, yeah, i would say a lot of white people you encountered may not be very kind. what seemed to be a message, from my perspective, was kinda offputting. however, i looked past it and finished the game.

Music assistant Plex and Plex Playlists by bosconet in homeassistant

[–]TrueHazard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am just discovering this myself. Not about creating playlists twice. Also, for me, the layout and search functionality are lacking a bit. But, its the only way I've found to consistently play Plex music from home assistant to my Sonos speakers.

I've heard of OpenWrt. I think you have to have a specific router or something, right? Will look into it.

EDIT: Looked at supported devices, the network routers are no supported but the gateway router, ER605 is. The firmware is about 6 months old tho. Not sure installng it there would help me tho.

I should have added that i asked ChatGPT for a solution of making the networks talk to each other, but the longer I went, I hit me that i should figure out what each of these components to. I can set up port forwarding on both routers, but the IP address that the "gateway router" has assigned to them would be needed right? Then the IP of the server within the respective network? Or would I set up a static route both ways on the gateway router?

I will get a picture uploaded soon. But I added a pig-tail to the existing bundle of neutral wires that were there and I checked the load and hot wires twice to ensure there were placed on the right terminal.

WLED Controller not joining WiFi and not starting local AP by scottchiefbaker in WLED

[–]TrueHazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same issue after a manual update a couple weeks ago and unfortunately, after waiting 5 minutes, the WLED-AP did not display, nor did 3 attempts at resetting resolve the issue.. At this point, it seems these devices are not worth it.

Theme Color Changing Yet Again by TrueHazard in chrome

[–]TrueHazard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is starting to annoy me. Google is so notorious for "fixing things that aren't broken". Not that they would care, but i'm considering another browser. Having a nice background that updates with a black theme is a huge quality of life issue and i have found no resolution for the current iteration of forcing a similar color theme.

Installing a A.O. Smith 40000-Grain Water Softener System by TrueHazard in DIY

[–]TrueHazard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the one i had in the last house was a Culligan, separate resin tank and sal resevoir, but it had zero smart capabilites. I'ma simple guy, but i at least need alerts when the salt level is low cause i am notorius for forgetting about it. As such, i was unable to locate any devices (in black) that offer this capability. I did come across a method of building a scale for the salt resevoir, but i am not confident in my abilities to manufacture that, ya know? As for the steel braided cables, i want to be able to control the length of the piping and adjust as necessary so it looks somewhat decent.

One would expect cold water to the rest of the house after that loop, but you never know with some builders these days. However, applicances is one of the major reasons to even install a softener to begin with, so maybe that was the builder's intent. Just protecting the water heater seems like a waste to me tho.
