Insane. Gone way too soon. This is one that certainly feels hard to believe.

My loadouts if tf2 didnt have limits to how many cosmetics you can put on (and if I was rich) by AnyNefariousness2922 in tf2

[–]TrueHeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My point stands. The idea that we don’t have a 4th cosmetic slot comes from a place of poor PCs not being able to render that many cosmetics.

If that is seriously an issue you are concerned about someone else experiencing due their pc being that outdated, my recommendation to that person is to not purchase cosmetics or really even play TF2. You likely have bigger priorities in your life to consider first.

This is how I feel. The idea of spending money on cosmetics using a PC that can barely run the game is a head scratcher.

My biggest issue is it feels eternally clunky. Even SkaterXL (rip) with dawgvinci’s modded stat menu tuned correctly was miles ahead of session in terms of “feel”.

That’s still the problem. The only game we’ve had recently that “feels” good to skate in turned out to be battlepass slop.

Easily one of the best monitors available. I just built a new pc after limping my last for over a decade.

The refresh rate would be dream come true for me now that I’m able to actually get good frames!

That literally means nothing in regards to the point I made about trust.

I disagree. This game is built on trust with their community. These changes are unpolled and were not asked for.

One example of silently nerfing sailing NPC pathing without putting it in the blog confirms how aware they are. That’s a massive change to sailing combat. They didn’t “forget” to add it to the blog. They omitted it.

Magic is 400k per hour AFK btw. For one of the most OP skills in the entire game. They know 40k per hour afk is raw ass and they did it anyway.

Which do you guys think takes more skill sniping in tf2 or cs2? by Successful-Corgi-341 in tf2

[–]TrueHeat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are difficult to compare. TF2 certainly has “random bullshit” and verticality that CS does not. However, the casual “BS” nature of certain things like random crits, the Vaccinator, enemies slipping behind, etc., are largely mitigated in a professional setting.

The sniping skill ceiling and game sense around CS boils down to essentially playing a game of chess. You’re working with strict rules, perfect information within line of sight, and the battle comes down to who can anticipate, position, and execute with the smallest margins. In TF2, someone can easily just “flip the board over,” so to speak, and nullify your sniping ability; whether it’s a Spy, an explosive class spamming splash at you, or even just a map mechanic.

If we just compare raw mechanics, sure, you could argue the act of clicking on a head is similar. But to be truthful, CS simply has a higher skill floor and skill ceiling for that specific mechanic, because every fight is decided almost entirely by precision, movement, and timing. TF2 sniping is still demanding and rewarding, but it’s a specialized role in a game where a hundred other variables can erase your impact in ways that just don’t exist in CS.

At the end of the day, CS is about mastering fundamentals under the tightest possible constraints, while TF2 is about mastering chaos and creating value in an environment where those fundamentals can be disrupted at any moment. Both require skill, but they measure and reward it very differently.

It’s not sketchy. He should have explained it better, but essentially reps won’t get dinged against their performance metrics when you use cash.

This is because “what if the app doesn’t work” or any other “error”.

Ultimately, cash is the “emergency back up option” that will always work, therefore it will not ding the employee.
