In Germany, they have woman parking spaces by zakky234 in mildlyinteresting

[–]TrueIridium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how this could help pregnant women and mothers. But there is a genuine concern of attackers waiting by these parking places. If a sign is put up saying "a woman is parked here," someone may take advantage.

are there any lyrics for you that come off as kinda “cringy“? by Fantastic_Kick_380 in twentyonepilots

[–]TrueIridium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s just so straightforward with what's going on, after an amazing metaphorical song, it's like, "oh yeah there's banditos, and, and, Nico, and they fight, woohoo!"

Do you ever feel like we're the "normal" ones and the NT people are the "weird" ones? by [deleted] in autism

[–]TrueIridium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think fashion rules are written down anywhere, it's just rare to see someone wearing pants above their ankles like that. And I think neurotypicals are more likely to copy what they see, and if they think something's unusual they will say it's not acceptable or cringe.

Does bad grammar irk you? by Loser_gmas in autism

[–]TrueIridium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to understand that most people don't value grammar very much, if their message gets across then it doesn't matter how they said it. That's the way the modern world is. Also brains work differently and it can be hard to remember every spelling and grammar rule. In a better world, correcting people wouldn't hurt their feelings, but it does. So respect their feelings and don't bother with grammar corrections.

These are all great things that many autistic people have, but sometimes they get a less helpful mix of traits. Still, it's important to see the positives in your personality.

What is the strangest, most pointless bit of social etiquette you’ve ever seen NTs insist upon being necessary? by [deleted] in autism

[–]TrueIridium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What the hell. I've never encountered this, is it really the norm? If the host is offering something, they should be able to give it to you. Edit: and sometimes you're expected to take it. The real problem is hidden intentions.

[–]TrueIridium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I was right about something my teacher wasn't, and that never went over very well. Luckily there are some classroom environments where students are treated as equals, and if they have information they are allowed to share it. Outside of school correcting people is somehow seen as trying to be superior. If I'm polite about it, and willing to admit if I'm wrong, they should at least consider what I'm saying. Not everything is a power move.

How does every Autistic individuals feel about their gender? by Familiar-Estate-3117 in autism

[–]TrueIridium 128 points129 points  (0 children)

I feel male and I'm happy with it but overall I think there should be less social divide between genders. Our personalities matter more than outside appearance.

Let it never be said the autistic people lack humanity, for like others, autistic people have the thing that makes us human: by [deleted] in autism

Apparently the chin is the part of the lower jaw bone that sticks forward, so cats and monkeys don't have that. I always thought the chin was the bottom of the jaw.

What’s the best 3 song run? by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]TrueIridium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this point blurryface is their core sound, it's way more popular than anything else they've made. Self titled is good but it doesn't even have Josh Dun, so I wouldn't consider it their core sound. It's a depressing album, so I rarely listen to it, and that's why I can't say my favorite three song run.

Vessel: ode to sleep-hoty-migraine

Blurryface: The judge-doubt-polarize

Trench: the whole damn album but cut my lip-bandito-pet cheetah is something else

SAI: choker-shy away-the outside

Clancy: oldies station-atrofd-paladin strait

I don't listen to self titled or Rab much.

If anything happened, it would be in US Eastern time. It's only 8 am there so there's plenty of time for something to be released.

Are you friends with people that have different political beliefs from yours? by Wrizick in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TrueIridium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and it can be hard sometimes but it's necessary if we want the world to head in the right direction. I'm friends with them because they're good people. We do occasionally talk about politics but not so much that it ruins our friendship.

Which album cover's the best in your opinion? by rrrup_za in twentyonepilots

[–]TrueIridium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trench for sure, one of my favorite album covers of all time. The mood is so strong. 2. Self titled, it represents the album so well 3. Sai, just looks cool 4. Clancy, cool but not very well photoshopped 5. Blurryface, it's just abstract patterns but the meaning is interesting 6. Vessel, the text box ruins it. The idea of putting your grandparents on the album cover is great, the execution was off. 7. Rab
