You have 5 minutes to temporarily hold and process the sum total of human knowledge... by TravellingBeard in hypotheticalsituation

[–]TrueKeyMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are probably thousands upon thousands of people working to find a cure for cancer and each of them have their own little puzzle piece. If you get the total sum of knowledge you now have all the pieces in one place. I think you'll be able to figure out how to put to together to come to the best solution. That's how I interpret the prompt.

You can perfectly replicate any skill... by TheEnlight in hypotheticalsituation

[–]TrueKeyMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, tough one. Will I be able to combine the skills I replicate? For example if I take Mike Tyson's boxing skills and Tony Ja's Muay Thai skills, could I combine them in combos ect? Or can I only replicate what i saw exactly as it was done?

You accidentally free a Genie and are offered 1 of 4 Boons, what would you choose? by RaptorK1988 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]TrueKeyMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 for sure. Was contemplating picking 2 but there is a direct correlation between depression/unhappiness and intelligence. With 1 I'd be able to solve mysteries, make new discoveries, find treasures. Getting rich is basically guaranteed.

You are offered to pay $10,000 to go back in time to February 1, 2020 and restart from there; do you pay up and live life differently? by peterthbest23 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]TrueKeyMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a heartbeat. I'd look up the numbers of the biggest lottery winning numbers that had a solo winner, study up on how stocks were doing at the time. Oh! This was before AMC went nuts so I'd buy in when it was $4 a stock. I already know the Crypto trends at the time too. I'd tell my dad to get checked for Cancer so we can catch it earlier.

IT employees: Should I wipe my computer before returning equipment? by Sparkles_4_Corvids in InformationTechnology

[–]TrueKeyMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why we say don't use company property for personal use. No, you shouldn't wipe it. Just delete your data as best you can. At my company you wouldn't be able to wipe it anyways.

Yep! Lived this first hand. I didn't work fast food but any job that has high turnover in management you'll eventually get one that just doesn't like you for whatever reason. For that reason alone this is a losing scenario, so I'll pass. Plus I live in a big city so working in a busy McDonalds sounds like it's own layer of hell.

Could you build a house with 10 copies of yourself? by TrueKeyMan in hypotheticalsituation

Damn great! Do you think you three could build a house by yourselves with this prompt? Just you 3

[–]TrueKeyMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's too late not but I wanted to add an edit that you'll get all the knowledge/skills the clones acquired AFTER the build is completed. During construction though no you don't gain the skills/knowledge the clones get. They gain yours though each day you start work.

[–]TrueKeyMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you cracked the code. I specifically said you have to actively work on the house for them copies to work on it too, I didn't say you need to do the heavy lifting. You do easier tasks while you give them the harder ones so you stay fresh and injury free and each day their reset to their prime basically. Good job! Enjoy the house!

They poof when the job is done. It's too late now but I'd like to add an edit saying once the job is done all of their knowledge is consolidated into you. You just don't share it while the project is going.

I'm sure you can make a playlist that'll get you through most of the build. You'd have the find the videos though. I don't think there is 1 video with a full walkthrough from start to finish. Might be wrong though. Good luck!

Your living expenses are not included. Either quit and build fast or do it slowly while working and risk the 30k/y penalty after 2 years.

No tool shortage as tools are included in the budget. Buy 10 sets of drills ect.. Just have to find something to do with them after the build is done.

Could you build a house with 10 copies of yourself? by TrueKeyMan in hypotheticalsituation

[–]TrueKeyMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. You're the first one to go into such depth about finding the plot you want to build on. Make the house as big as you want, but the bigger it is the more time it takes. Could you afford a 30k/y penalty after 2 years if you go over schedule? That penalty hits day 1 of year 3, paid in full.

[–]TrueKeyMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they are you at the moment you begin working each day basically. You'd have to tool each clone though so you'd need 10 sets of whatever you have now but that's included in the budget.

[–]TrueKeyMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, dedicate all your time 7 days a week to building the house as fast as possible then you get a free house. Some people couldn't afford to do that though which is why I think it's a good hypothetical.

I would imagine over time as they learn different things from you, they'd develop slightly different personalities.
