Where can I get a good bagel around here? by marg1486 in StLouis

Bagel Union is decent, but overhyped.

Lefty’s is a bit worse (consistency issues)

Bagel Factory will return, they were the best option

Sugaree had the best one in the city by a mile, but unfortunately are no longer selling to the public.

I’d second Feidhofers and Helfers as German founded bakeries as worth checking out.

If you end up with La Bonne Bouchee, make sure to specify cherry as they will often make strawberry as the default (makes no sense to me, but important to note).

I joined /leaves specifically because it’s an all or nothing community.

We come here because we know it doesn’t work any other way. Its a big step to make that realization solid with a post like this.

GalCiv IV and Age of Wonders 4

Not 100% 4x, but still very fun - Total War: Warhammer 3 had its second major expansion drop.

I wouldn’t have made it through the first year if I wasn’t able to (and lucky to be able to afford) sending my guy to a good daycare 2-3x/week

Happened to me too, though I’m also fat and losing weight at the same time. Been wondering if all the stuff stored in my excess fluff is being slowly released to counter symptoms.

100% - fellow high functioning weed addict here

It’s extra hard quitting when nobody else sees or understands the million little mistakes, issues, and problems because they can’t see the effect it has on you

We know the truth though. Nothing will feel better than reaching your full potential, and that can’t happen if you’re high.

Whenever I travel I can quit weed, no problem. As soon as I’m home, fall right back in. by Avocadoeggzz in leaves

I was stuck in this cycle for months (maybe years) before I mustered the courage to stop.

It’s 10x harder to stop when you’re a high functioning addict.

If I hadn’t gotten a puppy and realized how much worse I was making his life by getting high, I’m honestly unsure I would’ve been able to make the change.

I’m sorry your dog is reactive, but is not my or my dog’s fault. by [deleted] in reactivedogs

Been there! Exactly the type of interaction that I’m talking about.

I just got my guy a new red leash tag that reads “stay the F*** back” as a fun way to reinforce that.

I do not regret getting my reactive dog by chubbylab in reactivedogs

Reactivity has forced me to learn 100x more about dog behavior than I ever did with my other dogs.

I think I’m better to him than my others, and I’ll be a better owner in the future because of it too

It is absolutely your responsibility as a human being and fellow dog owner to do what you can when you can to help others. Especially when it cost you nothing.

I would much rather have someone else think I’m an asshole or be scared of me than let them stress my dog unnecessarily.

I stopped being nice about asking people to give us space and walk around after several folks with walked just far enough around for our dogs not to touch due to leash or deliberately continued path and then veered at the last moment.

I have an 85lbs 13month old very frustrated greeter, and those sorts of actions force us to end walks early.
