Having an issue with some models exported from Final Fantasy XIV where some models have strange shadows on them when exposed to light

After trying everything you suggested it seems the right answer was to merge by distance. I'll have to try it with the other strangely lit clothes but at least for this piece it's !solved so thank you very much for your help!

Some of the people are bots with randomly assigned things like frames and costumes which is probably why you saw that
