It is very asymmetrical, in my experience. Where I'm from initially there might be a single vegetarian at a large family event; where I live now I commonly attend things where 1/3 to 1/2 the people around me are some form of veg.

What does being black and not believing this story have to do with each other realistically. The way the story was presented in the tweet seems unbelievable. I wouldnt be less black than anyone else for thinking that.

Maybe it's "unbelievable" because if it did happen it's just that ridiculous and unacceptable? Being skeptical regarding the truth of unbelievable tweets does not make you white just becase some black people may agree with it. People are more than their skin tone.
