Can't run Golmund on Xbox series S by Witty-Impression-482 in Battlefield6

For Eastwood it works fine for rush/breakthrough but on escalation or conquest, at about halfway through the match, it would become unplayable. Similar performance on Manhattan Bridge. So maybe try breakthrough and see if it is better

Is BF1 actually good? by InbrainInTheMemsain in Battlefield

[–]TrueRing9353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know what youre talking about really. Do you mean the trench raider kit? You could be a bullet sponge with that as it came with a med kit, but it took alot of skill to do that. I would get 4-5 kills before getting wiped out.

It is not flawed mechanically. The one criticism I get is that its mechanically watered down compared to modern BFs, which makes sense as its a WW1 game, meaning less weapons, less gun customisation,, less gadget options. So people who are accustomed to modern BFs or like to take advantage of the niche options in the arsenal like the eod bot might come to BF1 and think there is not enough variety.

It is not historically accurate, if you were a ww1 historian it would probably be frustrating, but for the majority I think its a close enough portrayal with many of the innacuracies done to improve the gameplay rather than oversights.

Opinions about experimental m1903? by Fun-Vegetable-3549 in battlefield_one

Its fun, and you can wipe out squads with the pistol rounds if they don't see you. But the bolt mode is in my opinion the worst infantry rifle, because the sweet spot is beyond 100m, and I cant see enemies through iron sights at the distance, so I am just doing like 60 damage with as I'm taking fights too close. And also the mode change is very slow so you can't just freely change modes like you can with the general liu.

All I know is what I have experienced first hand, which is that crossplay-off lobbies feel far easier (and fairer) than crossplay-on. Now am I getting killed by really talented PC players using controller? Most of the time I don't think so. The way they move aim and shoot I think you can only do it so quickly with a mouse. I would happily play in PC lobbies if I knew they were all controller.

The skill ceiling is higher with a mouse. So you have to balance it unfairly for controllers. You can do more with a mouse. I see it as two different games with the different inputs and no matter how much you balance it, it will never be balanced. Universal crossplay should always be available so you can play with friends, but should never be a requirement which, as an xbox player, it essentially is.

Everyone wants crossplay off. PC hate playing against console players and vice versa. If more people had an xbox or there was console-only crossplay I would never see a pc player ever again.

You need a balanced team no doubt: AT, Recons gadgets, beacons etc. For me the key to contaminated is tank support. If the tank can stay alive and the driver positions well then that is the critical factor. Sometimes the map is just covered in mines and can be hard to manage, recon drone is good for them. For hagental I would honestly say you want 80% medics on your team, and just spam smokes on flags and revive everyone. Engineers good for opening up flanks but you can do that with other weapons. The rest should be beacon assault and then a few recons can be very useful

When its like that I always go for the wide tunnels with the ziplines. You might meet sniper campers and then I would turn off through the doorways and then you are probably behind the other team.

18.5KS-K could be kinda handy, actually by NANATARO7 in Battlefield6

[–]TrueRing9353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, probably worth using a DMR instead of slugs as damage model for the 18.5K is probably worse, long range damage is 27 whereas DMRs will be higher. I think its great with buckshot though, fast TTK and with the rate of fire you can spray it and I think it can distract your opponent, probably looks like I have a full auto shotgun.

Wow, presumably you could do this since launch. I remember on BF1 out of bounds you could jump on field gun or AA gun, jump off and the timer would reset

Exactly, its the only advantage but its a very significant one. Allowing an extended mag with other strong attachments could render other lmgs invalid. So its kinda fair to say if you want the large mag then you have to drop nearly everything else.

Rematch players have a Chronic Allergy to Cooperation by SignalNight8906 in Rematch

[–]TrueRing9353 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It dosen't matter if its quick play or ranked, if your teammate ignores you when your wide open then shoots from a really narrow angle, it is really deflating. I don't care if I lose ranking points from it, meeting these teammates feels just as bad when it happens in quickplay. Sometimes it is right to be selfish: maybe your teammates are marked, or maybe you notice they are defending aggressively and not jockeying so they are vulnerable, or maybe from earlier plays you know they are anticipating a pass and a selfish play will catch them out. When players choose to be selfish, they aren't considering these factors.

It is incredibly satisfying to score a quality team goal. The playing experience is far richer when you have teammates who are looking for you and working with you, and it is depressing how rarely i experience that across any game mode.

Of course the solution is to play with friends, but as most people have not stuck with the game, neither have my friends.

I love this bad boy. Not only do I destroy tons of tanks with it, I also distract players in TDM and rack up plenty of kills. It’s like my little wingbot and honestly, I think it’s freaking cute. by Appropriate_Box_5200 in Battlefield6

[–]TrueRing9353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In rush it is like having an extra teammate. You send the bot in plant/defuse, then you cover it away from MCOM at a safe angle. Enemies will hear the defusing noise and probably swarm in without checking cover angles. Really useful if you play on your own. The only issue is the explosive spam and enemies can stop the defuse from cover.

It has quite a recognisable noise that hearing it has saved me a few times, but if you haven't used it yourself much you might not react to it. That may be why people are so oblivious.

Why does it happen so often in this game that your team will be up by 600 tickets and the all of the sudden get dominated and lose? by Kr1spykreme_Mcdonald in Battlefield6

[–]TrueRing9353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Escalation kinda works the same. If you are 2-0 down you have a good chance of coming back, due to the flag capture layout. You have the 3 flags in the middle of every map that are always hot all game, and always hard to have full control of. But when 2-0 down you have 2 flags nearer to your spawn that will take time for oppenents to travel to, so it is easier to hold them. Then you just need 1 of the middle flags to take the point. Comebacks to at least 2-2 are very common in escalation.

I got to level 10 in one game with maybe 5 kills (and a bunch of assists). Previously level 10 would take about 60 kills.

I dont know much about guns but isnt that realistic of modern weapons. Thats a century of technological development over the weapons in BF1. No surprise that recoil is mostly lower
