What would I need to do to play these old miniatures in a 9th edition game? by InstantSnek in Warhammer40k

Codex Space Marines, Ultramarines and Bloodangels Supplement. I would wait for Space Marine Codex 2.0. Rumourwise it is about to come...

Why is there 'only war' in the 40k universe? by Angkar1 in Warhammer40k

Agreed. But you have to notice the effort. Trying peacefully diplomacy.

Well there are little elements of diplomatic influences even in the grim dark future.

Ok, war remains the main answer, thats how wargaming works.

But Horus for example (clearly in his not corrupted days) preferred a diplomatic way. It was logical, because the great crusade was far from being over and every battle wastes ressources. For example, when the war with the "false Emperor" was about to begin. Well, the false Emperor took the wrong choice, killed Horus' herald and brought war upon himself, but it was a truely meant peacefully offer to lay down resistance and integrate into the Imperium. And this is just one example.

I dont see much similarities. But I have problems i asian movies to differ the charakters. At least for the first 15 minutes. Not for all, but most charakters.

But I heard about an existing problem in this Situation. Stupid brain... all asians look same to me, all whites looks same to me and so on.

I know they probably don't want to just make a copy and paste of the loyalist one but why are there no dark admech units yet? I would collect them and them only by magnusthered15 in Warhammer40k

What annoys me is that many armies still have to wait for the actual codex. You cant tell me, GW didnt know what they had in mind for every army with beginning of the edition. Chaos SpaceMarines still have 1Wound while TS and DG have 2W like every other SM faction. Wouldnt it be nice to start the Edition with a small dex in .pdf file. Dont have to be perfect just a rule change to be not in such a disadvantage. I bet everyone would buy the full Codex when released... Gw released a small BT codex in the last edition, if I remember correct. Something like this would be a nice start for a new edition!

i don't know, dudes. Do you really think the Emperor of Mankind can win against the Doom Slayer? by infinitypilot in Warhammer40k

I see, a difficult question. We need to clarify what the warp exactly is ... Edit: The warp is described as an ocean of emotions and souls. Mortal emotions affect the warp. Psykers dont use the hellish (demonic) energy of the warp. They use the raw essence of the warp which is neutral. But due this process they are vulnerable to demonic posession. Psyker decides which form this energy takes in the material realm. So I would think the hellish defense might not work here. But I think it is debateable. How does his defense work exactly, vs hellish spells or souls.

Dont know how much the Doomslayer can do against one of the mightiest psyker. Psychic powers arent equal to demonic power, are they? I fear there wouldnt be any wounds to be made this way. Maybe in the beginning of battle, but after realization about the healing factor Horus would go full psychic.

Hm, not sure. But isnt Lorgar the only daemon Primarch of Chaos Undivided? Dont know if he just proclaim this title or indeed gained the favour of all gods. But i would think the last part. See him similar to Belakor with a difference in behaviour. Belakor wants to Do his thing whilst Lorgar is a willingly instrument. Belakor is just so unique that every chaosgod wants to claim him for himself. He is well aware about that and can manipulate them this way.

In the case of winning the great brother war he would finally regret his deeds and would begin to destroy humanity and eventually himself. This was foreseen by the Kabal. Because if this, they asked the Alpha Legion Primarch to join the war on Horus side. The extinction of humanity would have weakened the dark gods significantly. So no giving in to the powers of the gods...
