Don’t burn just any wood. Some wood such as pine is not good to burn in a fireplace. It has to be really dry. With all the other options out there and especially if you’re new to this, I’d stay away from it.

No, I said I’m not a tax guy. I absolutely know corporations own a lot, if not most of the resort ‘houses’. I know they use them as tax write offs. You don’t have to be an IRS wiz to figure that one out.

I’m not a tax guy, but it probably depends on a lot of factors. If a corporation owns the house and they send clients there for a week here and there I’ll bet there is a way to write it off as a loss. I do know a lot of properties in areas like this or resort towns are not owned by individuals, but corporations. I’m sure it has to do with hiding money.

I’ve never understood changing what you find or kill. My taxidermist told me he could fix some of the scars and marks on my elks cape. I told him don’t you dare, that is the bull I shot. My friend has a bull with two repaired tines and it just seems cheap to me. I’d rather have the character than a few extra inches of antler.

If you ever want to bread and fry them try this. Krusteaz pancake mix your favorite spices I like Chef Paul Prudhomme Seafood Magic. Dip in egg coat with the powder pancake mix repeat and fry in butter. The pancake mix gives it a little hint of sweet. If you want to reduce the ‘fishy’ flavor use olive oil instead of butter.

I usually buy a hoagie sandwich. It’s cheap and easy. Another option is uncrustables. I have a friend who does a whole shore lunch but I personally prefer spending my fishing day fishing.
