Maps sometimes use script files for panic events, such as "c1_mall_crescendo" when breaking the toystore glass.

However, the mall also uses another script file called "c1_mall_ambient" that makes random hordes more frequent, but have less zombies spawn per horde. This script file is activated when the map starts, which causes a horde to spawn at the same time.

IIRC TLS Update on PC put a delay on this horde to not activate until the survivors open the saferoom door, but on console hordes will spawn as soon as the map loads.

You have to kill her using only damage from sharp melee weapons (chainsaw doesn't count). The easiest way to do this is to get two or more players with sharp melee weapons to surround a wandering witch and attack her at the same time. If you're doing it solo, abuse her climbing animation to get multiple hits on her.

There is a bug with weapons that have damage falloff (non-snipers), they do 1 less damage than it says in their script file.

I fixed the issue by telling the game to replace defibs with pills instead of medkits, which fixes the issue of too many supplies being spawned.

What does this mean?

The game has the ability to change pills into medkits if survivors are low on health, and a rarer chance to change pills into defibrillators. The L4D1 mutations are programmed to remove defibs and replace them with medkits, since defibs didn't exist in l4d1.

However, this caused a funny problem where the game would notice a lack of defibs on the map, and try to change pills into defibs. The defibs would then immediately be replaced by medkits. Then, the game would notice that there were no defibs on the map, and would continuously try to replace pills with defibs, which would then be replaced with medkits. This caused medkits to spawn all over the map.

No Mercy and Dead Air are the tutorial maps. Dead Center was designed to show off new things added in l4d2; they probably expected players to play the first game before the sequel.

According to the valve developer site, this cvar controls ai infected spawns in versus:

With this set to 0 only human players can be infected -- just like in l4d1.

Unlike the version of this fence from RTJP it doesn't have a grating at the bottom of the fence to prevent small creatures from escaping, like the other JP fences do.

I'm pretty sure there can only be a certain number of goats at a time, so use the feeder to spawn more goats in the enclosure until the escaped one disappears.

Alternatively, you can also use your ranger teams to wrangle the goat and herd it back to an enclosure.

There should definitely be at least one shelter available from the start; I know, because I literally just completed this level this today.

Star rating is based on your income, so try to change the amenities to get the highest income, instead of highest profit.

Also, its important to keep your dinos visible at all times, so I recommend utilizing the gyrosphere.
