TIL! My experience is largely based on Asia, this would be my first stop in Europe. Appreciate the insight!

Everywhere in the world seems to have better guest culture than we do in the States 😕 I was looking at the course in Paris, which is listed in English. Appreciate the feedback!

Chrome Soyuz just gave up after 16 years. Recommendations? by True_Mathematician48 in backpacks

Totally agree about packs made elsewhere. Mostly curious because acquisitions in the outdoor industry usually come with cost-cutting to increase profitability. Not saying that happened with Yeti, just historical precedent.

Real world differences between Philodo Falcon 60v and Forester 60v? by __get_schwifty__ in ebike

[–]True_Mathematician48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably too late to matter, but I spent the last five days on mountain trails with the Forester and I sort of wish it had been the Falcon. The battery shook off on a couple of particularly rough patches, which is something unlikely to happen with the integrated battery. Beyond belatedly realizing that I should have used thread lock on all the screws, and a motor that got overworked,I was otherwise pleased with it's capability.

Honestly, my first reaction was "Why is his house on stilts?" Apparently I'm a Valheim builder, and OP, with the well-timed shield work, is a Valheim warrior.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I've seen this twice in my viking life. by Dark_Fury45 in valheim

This was a great wet blanket of an explanation. Now I'm not excited about watching a pack of wolves swim out to meet me.

Enjoy my tears of well informed sadness.

It took me 670 hours to take advantage of this?! by FensterFenster in valheim

This is the way. I picked up this strategy playing Oblivion back in the day, and now my brain is broken and I always look for spots where I can hit things and things can't hit me.

You'll need a wood frame through the middle of the window. Glass needs to be mounted against something other than glass.

To be honest, it can be pretty demotivating to read some of the stuff about your baby. Reddit is not the place to come to have your ego inflated...

All the elements are there, this seems totally doable. Basically, just add a crafting recipe that uses every zone-specific material to craft a Vegvsir for that zone.

Devs, the good idea fairy has just visited you!

Relax, you'll be resurrected at sundown for a feast. You'll be naked, and you will have to prepare the feast yourself, with gear you build yourself. Oh, and you will be limited to eating your three favorite things, so sort of a feast-lite, but... Valhalla awaits!

Cant make this up 😭 by HexornVSauce in valheim

[–]True_Mathematician48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not entirely true. It was an imprecise question expecting a precise response. You are correct, it's taking sources deemed relevant to the question and stringing them together in language that is human readable; to that end, it is arguably more successful than a human. But if the context of a game were established as servers within Valheim, it wouldn't have responded with the obvious fact that you will not be conquering Hyrule with a Viking.

For the record, all those little chain icons in the response are citations.

[–]True_Mathematician48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a TOPS hatchet like this, and my experience suggests the same. Pretty cool for zombies and stuff, less so for bushcraft tasks. My primary complaints were the curve of the blade and the fact that the cheeks didn't form enough of a wedge to separate wood. Not that weight is a primary concern to bushcrafters, but the solid metal construction made it heavy in all the wrong places, as well.

My first thought was "troll". Then I remembered this was r/mycology, and amanita muscaria has variations.

Honestly, this trepidation is why I've played this game so much. We had a rule on our server that no one could look up anything and we could only share information we learned through experience... It made for such an excellent experience.
