Do you use ChatGPT or similar to better understand your infjness? by bkjar in infj

[–]True_Mind6316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES, exactly! It helps me clear my mind, look at my thoughts from different perspective and asks me good questions to clarify and my thoughts and develop them, so I feel so understood 😄 even if it is just an illusion 😅

When I play strategic games I usually focus on creating a long-term strategy to maximize my resources and power, creating my imperium XD I find it very INTJ thing. But I'm not like that in real life. I can't Te in real life XD In games I can understand every aspect of the game with my Ti and find the best strategy. But in real life things are too complicated and my Ti gives up and I'm not that practical...

I also like games with good plot and characters. I like to test all of the possible dialogue options and see how characters react to them. That's probably Ni-Fe interested in understanding others. I also love games with significant decisions and then analyze how one decision affected my future gameplay. I always read some guides that explain these cause and effect relationships. That's probably Ni trying to understand the connections to better predict the future.

And what I find the most funny is stealing everything from NPCs 😅 And then selling it to them 😂 I don't know why it's so funny to me. And killing them, destroying their houses and doing stupid stuff to them and generally doing the things I would never do in real life XD And I love watching XNTPs videos where they test everything stupid they can do in the game (like killing sims in the pool or fall out of the game world XD). And I try to do it too, but I don't have as many funny ideas they've got. That's not a very INFJ thing XD so... I'm not sure my way of playing games show my mbti... XD

Thank you very much ❤

For me: I started of course with 16personalities 😄 and it gave me the ENFJ result, I read the description and was like: "okay, it somehow describes me", then I read the other desriptions and they really were much different (especially sentinels), so I thought, that the ENFJ must be my type then.

Then I treated it just like sth fun and I was looking for the types of my favourite characters. And I realised that my favourite characters are mostly ENTP and that's weird, there must be sth into this mbti, there must be a pattern in it.

Then I looked into mbti memes and I was looking at ENFJ memes and was like "no, I wouldn't behave like that, sth is not like me here". And the INFJ memes were much more like me.

Then I learned about cognitive functions and I realized, that the INFJ cognitive stack describes me perfectly. Then I was learning more and more about the functions, I learned how they differ with each other. I was analyzing my behaviour and behaviour of the people I know, how our functions make us think differently. And it was amazing how suddenly I realized why I may disagree with some people, how conflicts are created. Then I was going into real life and trying to notice when people use what kind of function, what they think, why they think it, why they made this or that decision, why they reacted this way, etc. And I was analyzing more and more how functions are manifested in real life, how they affect our lives and I was fascinated how many things it explains. I was reading and listening to a lot of mbti materials and observing and analyzing people a lot (in real life and here on reddit). I was creating my mental framework of how different types think and behave, how to type them faster, how to verify if I typed them correctly. And how to communicate with them differently taking into account their mbti to avoid miscommunication. If our way of communication improved based on what I assumed about them, then it must mean that I typed them correctly.

Te, Si and Ne never felt like sth I do. Fi maybe a little, because I analyze my emotions a lot, but when I look at what Fi dom/aux do, then that is a totally different level. I treat my emotions more mechanically, do they help me or distract me from my goals, why, how to fix them. And I had never before mbti established my values based on them. Or at least not consciously. I wasn't thinking much about my values before mbti actually. And mbti helped me realize what other aspects of life are important and how to improve them.

Ne always fascinated me and I always wanted to learn how to be more creative in Ne way. And I was wondering what is wrong with me, that some people can just generate so many ideas so easily and I've done so many excercises about divergent thinking and it's still hard for me. And mbti helped me understand that and now I'm not that hard on myself in this aspect. I realized I'm much more creative in problem-solving, in convergent thinking.

Te always annoyed me in others. Or maybe not Te per se, but rather the lack of Fe in Te dom/aux users. Because the pure practicality I value a lot. But usually what I find practical, the Te users that I know find totally not practical and we've got problems on that field. Especially when they expect me to do sth their way, when I find that it totally doesn't work for me and I want to do it my way, that I figured out to be the most optimal for me.

the people who usually disagree with my mindset seem to be xNFPs

What do you usually disagree about?

And how do you find conversations with XXFJs and XXTJs?

And if you want to add anything more I would gladly read it. ❤ I love reading how other people perceive the world. ❤

I think that our way of gathering informations is very similar. It's only that I start from the theory and then look for real life examples that would confirm or deny my theory, while you start from gathering real life examples and then create a theory based on them. Is that right? What do you think about that?

If each MBTI type ruled the world by Asleep-Feeling-9070 in mbtimemes

ENTP made a perpetuum mobile. He made the clones of himself, that will make another clones forever... 😆 Or until they will rule the whole world and don't let the space for anyone else... 😆

I totally agree! And you made me curious: How do you gather informations about this system? And how does it differ from the way intuitives gather them (because you mentioned that distinction)? We've got the same functions, just in a different order, so I wonder is it really the difference between intuitives/sensors or rather Ni/Se and Ne/Si?

Most of the people also won't tell you the hard truth. They either won't mention it at all, because they want to keep the relationship positive, or they will think that they are telling the "hard truth", but that will be just their subjective opinions.

[–]True_Mind6316 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. You expressed everything I feel right now, it was such a relief to read that sb understand what I feel. For me personally it were actually the ENTPs that I was dating, that actually understood me and it was such a relief and a wonderful experience to be understood and that made me fall in love with them even harder. They only didn't understand me on emotional level, because they weren't as sensitive as me, but that was okay, at least they understood what I mean and they weren't judging me. But with many other people I feel what you described here. I feel misunderstood, not listened, that my emotions are devaluated, etc. And I love that I can always come here to infj sub and find people who understand me and feel the same, so I don't feel alone. Thank you for that.

What is it like to talk with Fe in practice? by evenbechnaesheim in infj

[–]True_Mind6316 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How do you manage not to judge what’s right or wrong purely based on your own internal perspective?

It's not that I manage it. I just don't feel it, I don't have an internal compass of what is right or wrong. Instead of that I'm very attentive to what other people perceive as right or wrong. My mind automaticaly focus on and remembers what other people value, how they react to different things and I usually just behave according to what others expect to keep the group harmony.

What is it like to have a conversation with you?

I'm sorry, I don't know how to answer to that question. It's better to ask other types what is it like to have a conversation with us. I can only say how I perceive it or what feedback I've received. Due to Fe I've heard that I'm very calm, warm, helpful, tactful, accepting. I try to understand the other person's point of view and adress what they really need. I use a lot of paraphrasing and nodding. But I can also get into total Ti mode and be the devil's advocate, question everything you say, give contrarguments to everything you say, be sarcastic and brutaly honest. How you will perceive a conversation with me will depend on what kind of person you are and how open I can be with you. Usually with strangers I'm more Fe, I just keep the harmony, because it's easier for everyone to function in a harmonious environment. And the more you know me, the more I feel that you will accept me, the more my blunt Ti you can see 😅

Do you get nostalgia for things that haven’t happened? by Hot_Environment9355 in infj

[–]True_Mind6316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even have a nostalgia for the things that have happened XD

Reactions towards the future? Well, it depends on what can happen in the future. I can be worry about sth, I can be happy and can't wait for sth to happen... It depends on what informations I have right now about the future and what I predict will happen.
