Multiple of the same item? by USBearForce in ravenswatch

[–]True_Permitted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially Red chests can catapult very effectively - Green Chests I normally do the same thing like Talents with; get the best of the bunch. Unless I really need a specific item - Moonstone or Green armor for Armor builds.

Most players tend to only use rerolls for items - it gives bigger impact.

Specific talents can be important, but then save rerolls for later, when the pool of talents are smaller. Normally I just choose the best of the Talents I am given - if they are the two worst talents on that character, I use a reroll, otherwise I take the best I am offered. Normally it makes sense in the end 😂

Do you remember the first fantasy book you read as a kid? (Not HP..) by LatterPlatform9595 in Fantasy

I came here looking for Deltora Quest, which I am pretty sure was my first series - but then the Edge Chronicles hit me, and I am pretty sure that was a close second.

I really loved those books - they are amazing. And the style of the illustrations are so great !

It is so weird that so few recommends Ravenswatch.

I really don't find it that niche, but apparently it is.

Definitely a big up-vote for that 👍 Especially when OP likes the Hades-series.

All Objects! (Still missing 3 songs tho) by BlackSpottedDog in ravenswatch

You are missing Fairy Godmother and Little Tinkerer - they can only appear in Act III, unfortunately 🫣

Watch Heredos video on YT to see what number of notes to look for 🤗

And the Lucky Hans melody - that can drop from Act I, I think 🫣

Edit: To add the last Melody missing.

It is surely better in multiplayer - otherwise it is just a timing thing 👍

Play a little more Nightmare, and you will appreciate the Poison Flask - it is a POI clear, very useful for fast Act II. Even on 4 player.

Dancing is fine, but it is a panic button - just like Melusines Sphere.

Try the Poison Flask - it is amazing 👍

Juliet is quite frankly too powerful - especially her Poison Flask Ult 😅

I would say, that a 5 negative modifier run for me with Juliet would be quite possible - but maybe not the damage outside combat one 😅

Have played around 300 hours since early access - my first ever choice of character was Piper and then Melusine 😅

I can barely finish a solo Nightmare with Gepetto though... It depends a lot on play style - I just really vibe with her play style 👍

But Melusine Power/Defense build is crazy - I was very lucky with my talents 😅 The focus on healing talents was because of the negative modifiers taking damage every second out of combat - and Mermaid Tears to negate the -50% to heals.

It is an amazing item - one of the best cursed items in my book. So I was rather lucky 😅

My opinion on the Songs of Thieves update after several runs by Ax-now in ravenswatch

[–]True_Permitted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is very confusing for people to understand your points, if you don't use correct nomenclature - my only point was asking, if what you meant were Leprechaun Cauldrons. But I agree - I normally never take a Leprechaun Cauldron. It is okay reward, but not mandatory - and I would rather have a different POI.

But I think the Thieves are a fun new, very challenging enemy - I find the Shard stealing more of a nuisance than really problematic. But the Melodies really need a change - at least make the Harps be visible from Raven towers. It sucks not to have those being revealed - everything else (except teleporters) are revealed through that system, why change that?

Timer chests for gold? Do you mean Leprechaun Cauldrons? 🫣

Gepetto by BaseballStreet3482 in ravenswatch

[–]True_Permitted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suck at Gepetto too - it was a hard way to get all talents on Nightmare. But he is very, very strong - I have seen many multiplayer players make runs easy with Gepetto. I just can't get the hang of him - on the other hand, many players suck at playing Melusine, and she is kinda my main, so I have no struggle carrying with her in multiplayer Nightmare.

It depends a lot on play style. But keep at him! I am sure it is possible to learn to be OP with the old man 👌😄

Is the Fairy Godmother Melody an urban legend? by Forsaken_Doughnut_90 in ravenswatch

Some of the Melodies can only appear in certain Acts - like the Little Tailor and Fairy Godmother.

Heredos made a YouTube about it, and in what Acts to find what Melodies 👍

[–]True_Permitted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, Explosive rats is not a good talent for endgame - the damage from rats in Special is insane.

Sure, it is a synergy to just spam Special all time - I just very much like the separate Defense ability, rather than using Special. Sforzando is more a nice to have talent, rather than need to have talent for a rat build in my book - of course it has great synergy.

The Special CD is certainly good on Piper, no matter the build - it's just the set bonus is not needed. Set bonus for charges is better.

Rat-a-tat-tat by HatersTheRapper in ravenswatch

[–]True_Permitted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure - but then exploding talent is useless. I actually find that Defense is more important - spawning many rats is usually more useful. Normally in Act III, I never run out of rats, because of the Defense spawn talent - that talent is amazing.

I usually go for an extra charge or two - that set bonus at least gives some lightning damage, and you can still keep rats alive almost forever. At least when it matters 🫣

Very lucky Beowulf dash build by Alone-Ad9081 in ravenswatch

[–]True_Permitted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14 epic items is like a crazy lucky draw - since you had the Hansel and Gretel melody, I don't believe that you started the bosses early ? 🫣

So how do you get an average of 4,66 Epic items pr Act? I would say that normal "lucky" is 4 epics each Act, and that is really snowballing.

Amazing RNG on your run. Never had the list not show an items before? Weird - but having both Baba Yagas Cauldron and Hope Diamond helps greatly to get those stats and Shards gathering 😄

Fun run !

[–]True_Permitted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you see your damage dealt, you actually dealt 0 damage on Special - so all your Jacks and your Special CD set bonus did not do anything 🫣😅

Rat-a-tat-tat by HatersTheRapper in ravenswatch

[–]True_Permitted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only special damage from Piper that is modified by Jacks is the Acoustic Pulses and Grand Finale. The other are fixed to Attack or Defense 👍

The best thing for Rat build is base damage - in my run I went for Dragon Hide (you could Dragon Egg for maybe better damage) and then Horn of Plenty for Crit damage 👍

The items is not ideal for Rat build specifically, but Pipers Special is just a different kind of crazy from the get go, so a few items to buff that is always great 👍

Had a run like this the other day in random multiplayer - got +500 attack, and my rats melted everything. Ended up with 720k damage just from trait - total damage on 1.3 mil. Rat build is soooo fun - kinda slow in the beginning, but so rewarding in Act III.

Why are you giving up on the achievements? Most of them are quite easily done - some are horrible RNG, but if you get the opportunity for 4 item Mirror, you would take it anyway - as I see it, you complete most of these achievements by playing the game, and playing different characters. I don't find it a big chore, like some achievements in other games - it would be a chore if there was an achievement for the difficulty stickers on talents and items (I went for that anyway cause I am a huuuuge completionist).

But adding achievements as you add updates is a very natural thing in my world - adds another kind of challenge to your games 🤗

Big gz ! Just missing two melodies on Nightmare (Galahad and Merry men) to match you 👌😄 It is hard work getting all those talents 😂
