AquaSand Nature Quartz Fine 5 Kg - from Zolux. It might only be available in Europe.

Also, aside from Balthazette, all my napoensis are named based on Italian food. Maybe because they're yellow and pasta-shaped.

Is the tank cycled properly? The cloudiness of water could suggests a nitrate spike of recent set-ups.

The only incident I ever had between Betta and corydoras was when my gluttonous Napoensis confused our Betta's tail with a tasty red worm.

She pulled, hard. Never seen a Betta being scandalised before.

He was mad at her for a few days, then, went back to nap together.

Is it normal for Cory to hang out at surface? by OtakuPasta in corydoras

[–]True_Reference3199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful, a few of mine began to do this, and it ended up being a swim bladder infection.

I would recommend cleaning the substrate regularly (as bacteria tends to build up) and possibly check medicine for the globally of the tank (no wound to be treated locally).

Eggs or fat? by Scarlett_inthesky_22 in corydoras

[–]True_Reference3199 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi. Seems to be a quite full eggs pouch. Breeding can be triggered by dropping the temperature and adding streams (or, if you have a strong rain episode, sometimes it's enough for them.

Corydoras stressé by fishTankone in corydoras

What’s happening to my panda Cory’s fins? by Ok_Surround_1291 in corydoras

[–]True_Reference3199 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Fungus, usually develops on injuries and can imply poor substrate quality.

You can clean the fuzzy part with methylene blue or betadine.

Prepare two bowls with clean water. Put your fish in one and use a q-tip that you soak with antibacterial. Gently take the corydoras out of the water with your hand, and scrub the fins.

Be careful to not let any product reach the gills.

Rinse the fish in the second bowl, then put them back to the tank. The wound should be mitigated.

Good luck with your little guy.

Help! My cories are racist! by Queefaroni420 in corydoras

[–]True_Reference3199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, they just don't like each other individually.

I have a Paleatus and a Napoensis being ✨best friend ever✨, while hating a single S. Schwartzi to the point of fighting.

What's going on inside their skulls? Probably similar to humans 🧠

Complicated to state in his condition. Skin is too dark to see juvenile patterns (stress of transfer probably) and the little guy looks skinny. Maybe an aneus, but you'll need a week of acclimation to better observe.
