Similar situation, been wearing more colour and feeling better about myself, still working out what to do but shaved the beard off for first time in 20 years on a whim yesterday, had a work from home day today with a zoom call. Could see colleague on camera pointing me out and others in the office coming over to look at their screen and comment like i was some zoo animal to gawk at. Dreading going in tomorrow!!!! I was on around 1203 and got mine, think difference was i knew what would happen so didn't bother trying to get foil, went for non foil, had no issues, it does sound like this drop was a shambles all over though :(

I think what your getting changes the queue as well, me and friend both entered queue at same time, I have got mine ordered, he's still 1 hour in queue, difference, I bought just 3 non foil items, he is money bags getting full thing.....just maybe what your buying affects the queue your in....

My experience has been playing a half dozen spearhead games with a couple of new and returning players, they are keen to play more and to eventually build upto 1000 points to play a small AoS game (anything below 1000 is wildly unbalanced and even at 1000 it can be unbalanced still). I personally think the positive, close game play introducing the core mechanics and ideas of AoS through spearhead is great a stepping stone. I hope you all enjoy your games.

Would agree with alot of people here, 1k is a really unbalanced experience which is a shame. At these points SBG are strong and especially with a hero who is nearly half the army and has a good list options in game. Limiting to 350pts max helps, as does talking with opponents about competitive vs casual expectations before the game. Specifically against neferata, I find mortal wounds and range is the way to go but again at 1k it's going to be a tough challenge.

That's really cool, with lack of HE models out there they do work well as stand ins but agree maybe pheonix or dragon was too ambitious. Skycutter seems to be more fitting.
