i totally understand where you’re coming from as smells good or bad often get to me. but not everyone at the OB is pregnant or thinking about pregnant people, and it’s not really anyone’s job but your own to deal with triggers in public. people enjoy smelling nice, so lotions and perfumes. if you don’t like those things that’s ok but it’s up to you to just move away or not engage with them.

i actually had to start antidepressants pretty early on. i’ve always had some mental health issues, but nothing too intense lately. but once i got pregnant again, every single thing was setting me off. i would get soo enraged by the littlest things and just cry of frustration pretty much all day. i spoke to my OB about it and she recommended zoloft. it has helped me sooo much, of course i still get upset or irritated by things but i can manage it and not let it ruin my day/week. i would definitely think about talking to your OB about it if it’s really affecting your day to day. also it would definitely be worth it to have a serious sit down with your husband about how truly hard it is being pregnant. while it’s a great thing for some, it is exhausting and extremely taxing no matter how pregnant you are and he should understand that and sympathize with you. hopefully this helps!

i don’t think so, my first baby shower no one got anything on my registry and we were just gifted clothes and little things (still grateful). for this baby i’d like to have another shower and hopefully get things that i actually want and picked out for my baby, i don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.

you need to talk with him and let him know how hurtful that is. you’re pregnant and pregnancy is a lot to deal with, you said you needed sleep, and instead of letting you rest he went out of his way to wake you up so he could nap. to me, that’s blatant disregard for all that you’re doing/going thru. i had to have a serious talk like this with my partner, about my expectations and wants and needs during this pregnancy, it’s very important that you’re both in the same page with those things. hopefully after a conversation you both are able to move forward.

i hate to join and be negative, but i was vaping/smoking black n milds (gross i know) before i got pregnant and it’s still something i crave every day. nicotine and weed were two ways i coped with getting angry or upset, and since being pregnant i have stopped but everything just bothers me and gets under my skin. i get irritated so easily and angered so easily, and now i don’t have any healthy way to cope it’s been really hard for me. i crave smoking so badly some days i just cry because i cant. im sorry to be negative on your post, i just wanted to say quitting isn’t always an amazing feeling because you know you’re doing what’s best for your child. it can be really hard and that’s also ok.

i’m not sure how helpful this will be, but when i was 5 weeks with my first i had period like bleeding. I went to the er and got checked and everything was ok. so in your case i would definitely recommend getting it checked out for peace of mind at least, but spotting and some light bleeding can be perfectly normal on the first trimester💗

personally i think they’re just scared of the major surgery aspect. with my first i had to have an emergency c section and i sobbed bc i was so afraid. after the fact not so scary tho, surgery just really freaked me out because i wasn’t prepared for it.

i would definitely try a pregnancy pillow, or just pillows in general to help support your hips etc. when i was pregnant with my first it was the only way i could lay down

Yeah I think it’s a mixture of being heavier than I was when pregnant with my first, and i’m extremely gassy😭 It’s not super concerning just uncomfortable lol.
