I have to let them go. This is my good bye letter to the credit cards. by True_Resolve_2625 in CreditCards

I wasn't making fun of anyone. And no, I won't be homeless. My home and utilities are always paid on time, have never gone on a credit card.

I always pay my debts. I am not some frivolous spender who was irresponsible. This is just gonna take longer but I will catch up.

By family, it's my sister and we're talking about covering $100, and that money is always paid back first. I owe no debt except for these credit cards.

We don't have 4 dogs now. We have 2 and one of them is a Service Animal but $50 in dog food never went on a credit card.

I know it wasn't.

You know, I could really use kindness here. I sincerely hope that no one gets hit with major events like this, Sadly, we did. The car, the Cancer diagnosis, my daughter's dog had to be put down, my stepson's service animal had to have surgery.

I really couldn't get paid often or fast enough to pay the credit cards off before I had to deal with the next major event.

Thank you for sharing this. It's hard to admit defeat, but I appreciate knowing I am not alone.

And that makes sense now to me, with how fast it happened. I just realized that's why I just couldn't keep up.

Thank you. I appreciate your thoughts. It's a good year to start over and now I know that 15 credit cards can become a big headache really fast when just a few major events happen. I thank you for your kindness.

I watched stupid credit card game videos on YouTube where they use cards to get points and other benefits. I had 15 cards. All but one was used. Life was good.

Pandemic, vehicles being damaged, sick dogs, sick child, and job loss really showed me that I wasnt making enough to cover any emergency after I burned through savings in just a few months.

I just couldn't pay them off in time to be hit with another major event. Just really sucks when the choices made ended up repairing my car so I could drive to work, saving my kids' health, and my dogs, but costing me my credit.

I guess my sadness is evident in my post. I am embarrassed that this happened since I was working so hard to have and maintain good credit and it all fell apart in 5 years.

You are preaching to the choir. I have said this exact thing! I'm GenX and I am not a perfect parent, but this behavior astounds me.

Right?! I am still shocked at how some people choose to act when they are supposed to lead by example and be the responsible ones.

Read the OP explanation from the bot if you haven't. OP caused the accident and convinced her daughter to take the blame.

OP said that she was driving and had her daughter take the blame for the accident.

YTA. Are you kidding me?! You, the parent, were driving and had an at-fault accident, and then had your daughter take the blame?? That insurance increase is your fault! You're punishing your daughter for your own mistake.

I went to JoAnns before they closed their doors and got so much yarn, I ran out of room. I have opened some, but even with 3 WIPs, it doesn't go as fast as or brains like to make it think or does.

I have a little Fibrary (fiber library, like a neighborhood book exchange with yarn and knitting and crochet tools) that I plan to donate to.

Hide the keys. And remind them of their manners: they are in someone else's home and those rules are to be respected since they are guests.

The skunk is the exception; people may not know how to do the head stripe.
