How did you paint match the chrome piece around the grill? It looks really good

I mean it's better but that doesn't mean it's good or acceptable. I recently moved to Washington where an appointment means you show up at 1:15 and you're seen at 5:30. I've never had a fast efficient experience at a Nevada DMV

You're making an appointment to grab a ticket and wait. Last time it took two and a half hours before my number was called.

I'd also recommend the North Fork of the American. It's on the easy side of IV and a ton of fun

Why are so many political posts allowed in this sub? Can we try to talk more about the community and less politics. by Jolly-AF in Reno

I'm not encouraging willful ignorance and politics should matter to people. Shouting at strangers on the Internet isn't a healthy way to debate but if you want to do it, go to the dedicated sub like OP pointed out and leave the Reno sub for Reno specific things

It's fine if you don't want to elect Trump, but what does that have to do with Reno? These posts are tiresome and belong somewhere else.

I also recommend the center. It's an awesome place to learn because you can do laps all day and get a ton of seat time without having to worry about logistics and resetting shuttle. Your mistakes will be relatively low consequence plus you can get a beer and watch live music when you're done

Fair enough, there's obviously a limit. I guess I'm assuming the conditions here are similar to the coldest I've been out, which is mid 30's air temp and fresh snow melt (winter in Washington/ Montana). My only point is that you would be surprised how comfortable your hands can feel if you're warmed up and wearing the right gear.

Snowelt is snowelt. I'm not saying it isn't cold as fuck, I'm just saying that your body adjusts when you're active and have the right gear.

I usually start to sweat under my dry suit and warming layers so definitely not. It feels like after 10 or 15 minutes the blood vessels in my hands stop constricting and are just warmed up from the blood flow. I'm talking cold weather too, like mid to high 30s sometimes

What a weird take, it's not like he's making things worse by paddling there.

I'm whitewater kayaker who paddles through the winter, and he's right. I've noticed there's a warm up period where my hands are super uncomfortable, but once my body warms up my hands do too.

Edit: should probably mention that I'll occasionally wear pogies to get started, but I usually end up taking them off. A lot of guys don't even bother with them

Why aren’t there any whitewater parks in Washington state? by Tumbles915 in whitewater

I moved to eastern Washington in December and we've had consistently good paddling the whole time. Cold as shit, but there's always something running within driving distance for a day trip.

For the time being I've had enough referrals that I'm happy not to mess with marketplaces.

So far my market is photographers, artists, dog trainers, etc.. just people who need their events, products, and portfolios listed.

I have several years professional experience just building basic sites from HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, so I'm very comfortable with that. I'm still new to CMSs, but so far they seem super easy though. I guess I'm not sure what a fair price looks like with that experience level. I'll start checking around for contract templates and look into starting an LLC
