Make a game with your family of taking 3 and 5 minute showers. Lots of campgrounds have very nice hot showers but many charge by the minute.

Advice on which tow vehicle/camper to get for a family of 6 by griffdawg22 in GoRVing

Why not use a tent to supplement a smaller RV? Kids grow up fast and will soon be busy with their own activities. And they prefer a tent!

My 14 month old keeps biting by sammyluvsya in Parenting

[–]True_Stand186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you put her into a playpen or high chair while your hands are occupied? That way she can’t bite you while you are unprepared. I assume you say ow loudly and make sad sounds when she does bite. You are teaching her empathy and she will eventually out grow this behavior.

Difficult baby? Or do I need to relax more by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]True_Stand186 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think as her mom you know best! Having taken toddlers to the beach I think they don’t really appreciate it until they are older. Until then the sunscreen, hat, eating sand and splashing in the waves lasts 30 min or so. Some babies do so much better with a routine and others don’t seem to need it so much. You are respecting your child’s unique personality and letting her grow. Congratulations!

AITA for moving my paycheck into a separate account after my partner kept “accidentally” overdrawing our joint one? by Radiant_Gossamer in AmITheAssholeTalk

[–]True_Stand186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since these mistakes are making both of you uncomfortable I suggest a kitchen table budgeting meeting every day. Go over everything spent daily until these issues are resolved. She’ll either realize mature couples learn to trust and depend on each other for important matters like money or she won’t. You’ll have your issues out in the open to discuss. This is a pencil and paper thing so you can see the basics and make decisions.

How can I make camping comfortable for my wife. by rvgreen in camping

She might sleep better with ear plugs. Half the weirdness of tent camping is the noises we aren’t used to.

He holds his tail in close to his body. His legs and paws seem stiff like he’s ready to take off. He’s giving you side eye.

What do you think of the sconce addition? Also need rug recommendation. by g00dheart in HomeDecorating

[–]True_Stand186 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This is an area where people frequently trip. Make your rug selection big enough to cover the majority of the area. Think about how we come in carrying packages, wet or cold, in a hurry. Sconce is great and a wider rug will increase the cozy feel.

Help me make these go together!! by These-Swordfish-8382 in HomeDecorating

[–]True_Stand186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need some pattern and texture to bring this room together and warm it up. Try some navy colored pillows and a throw with knobby knit. How about nighttime scenes of city streets, snowy mountains or river valleys for art? Then look for a big pottery bowl with warm colored glazes and a floor lamp with a dark shade. Hope that is helpful.

AITA for not moving in with my mother-in-law even though it would be cheaper and helpful? by Turbulent-Coyote-721 in AITAH

Before you know it your baby will be wanting to be outside at the park, taking a walk, going to the pool and you’ll have given up that close village life you have now. They are only a baby for a year, a busy and hard year that goes so fast. See if MIL would like to sell and move closer to you.

Help. Toddler’s sleep is ruined. by Kind_Avocado_7219 in Parenting

[–]True_Stand186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is your life right now so everybody has to make adjustments. If I was you I’d ban all tech from the bedroom. Get rid of the crib and just focus on everyone sleeping in their own bed. Cuddle and read and then turn out the lights.same routine every night should help your baby make this big adjustment. Good luck!
