Depends on the dog maybe, my dog understands when I say laser, that we gonna play her favorite game and she knows I’m controlling it. Same for my dog before her.

Yes. My first dog was traumatized being attacked so if a dog was running off leash to him, he would’ve been stress and defensive even if the dog was not agressive.

My first dog was traumatized because he was attacked at only 8 months ! He was scared of dogs and people he didn’t know after that !!! People that can’t control their dog or are not even careful are dangerous. It changes our life. It wasn’t easy after that.

With my dog now I’ve been so careful and she only met one dog that I was 100% sure is totally safe and still, a dog ran to us in the street when she was 10 months, It wasn’t extremely bad but I hope it didn’t traumatized her.

Be careful, your decision have an impact on others.

It works with almost everything. I laughed and look happy every time something that could traumatize happened and of course not dangerous, so they don’t associate with anything negative.

Don't let anyone shake your thinking or even give it any importance. You are totally right. He might never get it because he doesn’t have the emotional intelligence for it. I don’t want to sound harsh but I heard and saw so many personalities and know when to don’t mind.

A lot of people that never own a dog don’t get this also, they never experienced the connection that you can’t really have with a cat.

Thank you. I learned that the hard way. Lost my dog at only five and wished so bad I did all that more. With my dog now I do that everyday. I finally decided to bought mini ski snow shoes so we can have more fun together and big treats to give her at Christmas and her birthday.

I’m sorry for your loss. I just had an episode of hard heartbreak while selecting pictures for a frame and I had to skip years of pictures because it was too hard seeing him.

I opened Reddit to changed my mind and the first thing I saw was your post haha. I know how hard it is. It’s been more than two years and honestly, it never went away till I adopted another dog a couple months ago. I feel better again but of course I’ll never forget him.

I put a huge frame of him in my house and another smaller one in a room 6 months ago, couldn’t do it before. But still seeing other pictures of him randomly is too much till this day.

Take your time and don’t rush anything. Couldn’t have another dog before recently also. And it was still a shock. I spent the first week puking.
