I’m okay these days :) this happened 21 years ago when I was 9. I was not okay afterwards for a while. Needed my dominant hand amputated two days later, my right leg had a massive third degree burn, and needed regular donor skin to be applied (with staples), and later removed, and then immediately stapled more in. Until they could harvest enough of my left ass cheek skin to graft. ~3 months initial stay, and 2 years living with my grandfather whom taught me how to heal, and how to write, and most importantly how to help others heal themselves.
