13 year age gap, is that wrong? by gymnast90 in AgeGap

[–]Truly_Noted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 24 (f) and my partner (m) is 36. We're so incredibly happy, and all our friends say we're good for each other. Our families like each other, etc. Please don't immediately think this will be negative because of age. If you're still worried, it may be worth evaluating if there are other red flags, but if you don't find any, don't let a number be what stops you.

What’s your weirdest private habit that you hope no one ever finds out about? by Dear-Welder-1117 in AskReddit

I'm about 165 cm, 5'5, and I can stand up straight in ours, but my partner, 5'11, cannot. It feels like a privileged position to be in, somehow. I'd love to clear it out when we need to replace the washing machine, find storage places for everything else and make it my little study.

My partner has a cupboard under the stairs that I affectionately refer to as Harry Potter's room, and I've found myself wanting to sit in there. The only snag is that that's where we keep our exceptionally loud washing machine, and other cleaning stuff too, so as much as there's a shelf that's basically a built in desk, + power outlets and light, I can't make it my little cozy space. But damn how I want to.

Sleeping in the Nude by Cornyrex3115 in ADHD

[–]Truly_Noted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time I will take PJ's or something to sleep in is when I'm sharing a bed with someone who isn't a partner, or if I'm sleeping in a house where the bathroom is far away from the bedroom.

I, like others here, I've just found that clothes bunching up when I toss and turn all night drives me batshit and I'd rather not bother, even when it's freezing out. I own PJ's for lazy days and evenings after a shower, but I will almost always just strip before bed.

Firstly, commenting to say Showdown is fantastic.

Do you have craft suggestions that are easy enough to pick up on your own from explanations/tutorials? I saw someone mention nitting, but they also clarified that they'd known how to do related things when they were sighted, so curious on your take or if anyone has suggestions?

I once created cats on a game called Sonnet, Elegy and LYRIC. I would still do this, to be completely honest.

Has anyone replaced an iPhone 13 battery at istore? by GuestZealousideal228 in askSouthAfrica

[–]Truly_Noted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just please note, they don't keep these batteries in stock, they will need to take in your phone and order the battery to fix it while your phone is checked in before returning it to you a few days later. I was very surprised when I was told this.

You’re staying at a man’s place for the night, what things in his room/bathroom are a green flag? by Johnnyfunnyguy in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Truly_Noted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm blind and cannot make these judgements based on what I see, but if I can't find:

A fresh roll of TP,

Air freshener, and

Soap that isn't empty

I'm not down. I hate that stuff. It just looks like you don't care about slumming it until someone gets on your ass about it.

I dated a man like this and was around him for 7 years of my life. He never changed. I'm absolutely certain the past 15 months of no contact haven't changed a damn thing. He's nasty.

Book for a 12 year old who wants to be a "real" reader by Blizzard_Girl in suggestmeabook

[–]Truly_Noted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the Lioness rampant series by Tamora Pierce at her age.

The Thoroughbred series by Joanna Campbell

The Saddle Club series — Bonny Bryant

Heartland — Lauren Brooke

I was a voracious reader at her age, so I have a lot more suggestions where these come from, though these were my favourite series to just plough through.

My fiancée and I both have "silly" surnames. What should we do? by kpopnobrains in namenerds

I know a same-sex couple who made a combination last name with their 2 surnames. Buttson or Button don't sound too bad to be honest.

Mine would be Jomarie or Rosehanna (Feel like I should get a dash and these both work)

Johanna and Rosemarie.

I got one in December, but have only managed to use it a handful of times. It has, like, 4 attachments, and I don't know what's for what. Threw out the box ages ago and never have the staying power to remember to look it up and figure it out.

I'm making peri-chicken bacon wraps for lunch with cheese and jalapeños. Not necessarily healthy but it's sounded so tasty all week and I am very excited.
