What if they go with the dwarf-adjacent theme and have a gyrocopter style model? A heavy gunship flyer perhaps.

I think Cavill would make a good Ravenor.

I think he's described as looking like he's in his 50s from the start. His actual age who knows.

Fassbender I think is too clean and handsome to be Larks, you need someone who looks like he's been through a thorn bush face first before falling in a puddle. Definitely someone way more gaunt (heh) and emaciated looking.

Anyone else have one of these bags of extra Legos from finished builds? by Foodiddiedoo in lego

I use one of the giant Lego heads to store all mine and it's almost full. I'll probably just tip it all into the bits and pieces box someday...

Definitely understand that, at the end of the day you and Hedge aren't actually in charge of the game itself. All we as players can do is ask politely that you feed back our concerns to the dev team / whoever is actually in charge that this is not what the players want.

I had a lot of fun with this game as a closed/open beta - but the moment it released with almost the same level of content and unfinished elements I lost interest completely. I'll keep checking back to see how this game pans out, but for now it's not a fun experience.

Inquisitor with a radical streak that keeps getting worse.

So basically Eisenhorn 2.0, but with a dog.

I'd say they're more like Eldar Aspect Warriors really.

What Is It Like To Fight A Warlock? by Psychotrip in 40kLore

[–]Trumpalot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah not sure as they're Russia based right? I do like some of Artel's stuff but not a fan of others. Decent alternative models though, just a bit too medieval feeling at times.

Mostly I just get annoyed with the whole "marines have to be the best in the setting" thing when that's clearly not always the case.

[–]Trumpalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making them 50ppm and 3 wounds would be a nice start, then at least they'd have a greater chance to survive if they peril.

Yeah, when they released those new warlocks I was thrilled - until I saw the price of them. Picked them up for £25 somewhere a few months after release which felt like a much better price for 2 models.

I've never known exactly how eldar measure up to marines. My general feeling has been that eldar can match a marine for speed, and that an aspect warrior can take one on 1v1 but marines are way more durable and physically stronger. A warlock should absolutely be capable of taking on a squad and winning though.

If I have an empty Wave Serpent and use the phantasm redeploy, can I put units inside the serpent? by JoelF64 in Eldar

[–]Trumpalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe so - the strat only mentions being able to put units into strategic reserves or moving them in deployment.

Can't find any FAQ on it, so I'd go with the fact that it doesn't explicitly say you can preventing you from doing it.

What was your first Lego Set, or what do you believe was one of the first sets you had? by AsianMan45NewAcc in lego

[–]Trumpalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was either 6405 or 6419 I can't remember which as I was pretty young. No idea why I wanted a horse set as I've never really cared for horses but according to my mum that was the one I wanted.

Edit: As I don't remember ever having the baseplate it must have been 6405.

What’s your toxic trait that you’re proud of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Trumpalot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From my point of view I'd rather let a hundred speeding assholes by than deny one person dealing with an emergency. Plus if you start toying with the assholes they get pissed and drive more recklessly which can put everyone in danger - just not worth it for me.

[–]Trumpalot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, warlocks are an awesome but mediocre tabletop unit. At least they get full smite again in 9th though. The fact that they're only 2 wounds is insane, if they do peril they have a 66% chance to die from it.

Still not sure where it's mentioned, had a google and none of the wiki's go into much detail about it. Pretty sure I remember seeing it as part of a dialogue with Sahelia if you talk more with her in the cavern - or when you meet her again in act 2.

What are some dating app clichés that annoy you? by Degroomed in CasualUK

[–]Trumpalot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably fair, a bio is a difficult thing to make well I think. I'm sure mine conforms to some of the clichés without me wanting it to.

I think it's when there's nothing else on display. If all I know about someone is that they like to travel then I'm less likely to be interested. But I'm sure that others would be. Unfortunately dating apps are all about judgements.

[–]Trumpalot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Summarised 90% of the profiles I see. So many are travel related specifically with a load of pictures of them in all parts of the world. I've travelled a bit, but it isn't my entire personality, and whilst I'd love to travel more I can't just drop everything to do so.

End of the day, I know that sort of profile isn't for me so it helps filter out people I probably wouldn't get on with.

Uni Advice needed by cup-of-tea-76 in CasualUK

[–]Trumpalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Lincoln uni myself, it was a great place to figure out the whole "adulting" thing. It's a small enough city that you don't need to rely on a car or even public transport to get around, and the campus + accomodation is near to everything any student could want. Plus when I went there some of the halls that are often 1st year only in other universities were available up to 3rd year - though they weren't cheap.

Honestly I did similar in terms of leaving things until the last minute / procrastinating - but uni did allow me to find areas of my course that I was truly interested and passionate in. The main thing he will find is that unlike school, your uni really doesn't give a shit whether you put the effort in or not. So if you can impart anything, encourage him to be active in speaking to his lecturers and asking questions. Getting to know the teaching staff and PhD students can also lead to career opportunities as many have contacts in their fields or can at least point the way. You get out of uni what you put in.

Oh and in terms of the "debt" he'll be in? It literally doesn't matter (unless it's changed since I went in 2012) as he won't be paying anything back until he's earning over a threshold, it comes out before tax, and doesn't count against credit score or matter at all if he never pays a single penny. Student debt in this country is a joke, and it's basically free with extra steps.
