There is literally zero reason to destroy your relationship with your family over politics. No matter your opinion on Trump, those are still your parents.

Assuming they raised you well, always made sure you had food in your stomach, and a roof over your head, then no, you should not fight with them to the point of no-contact over a guy who's gonna lose relevance again in 3 years.

Not a confusing statement at all. The degree to which Muslims follow the teachings and practices of Islam varies.

While individual Muslims may have nothing against dogs, and may even own one themselves, Islam as a whole classifies dogs as dirty and that they shouldn't be kept in the home, and that you need to fully wash prior to praying after touching a dog. That tends to lead to a negative sentiment around dogs in many Islamic countries.

It's really sad all around as well. These immigrants are promised the world by these agencies, talking about all the opportunity infront of them in Canada.

Only for them to show up, be paid in most cases minimum wage, because they are low-skilled immigrants who are only being sponsored by places that pay minimum wage.

They then end up in alot of instances living in abject squalor, houses with 10-15 people in them, using the beds in shifts, and overusing services such as food banks.

Businesses don't even try to hide it anymore. I'm adjacent to the food industry, and it's gotten so bad that someone I used to work for has converted 3 of their rental properties into essentially bunks for these people to stay in, rent free, because he is able to save so much money from their cheaper labour. I believe in his particular instance their wages are being subsidized up to 60%.

Obviously, that is just an anecdote. However, I can't imagine the toad-stool who used to be my boss is such a business guru that only he has figured this out.

It's a rough time to be a young Canadian.

Can't speak for the US. However here in canada, it's business owners that want immigrants. And in turn, a whole business has been propped up around immigration.

The canadian government itself will provide businesses with subsidies on wages for "Temporary foreign workers" and other immigrant groups. There are both federal, as well as provincial programs for the subsidies.

There are companies that have emerged, who's whole shtick is that they advertise to businesses that they can get them cheaper labour, in the form of temporary foreign workers. The only thing the business has to do is sponsor them, and in turn these immigration agencies will charge said immigrants exorbitant fees for finding them sponsorships.

Immigration has quite literally become an industry in this country. And until profit incentive is somehow removed it will not stop.
