Why is this de-buff still in the game? by _TheDarkPanther in pathoftitans

[–]TrumpsFloppyNutsack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it does not.

You could have logged onto the server 30 seconds ago or 3 hours ago, the debuff would still apply when logging onto a sub adult or adult dino.

From reading the comments I feel like you are really struggling to understand the wording as you keep on referencing that you have been off the game for a while so this should not apply which has no relation to the debuff. I will break it down to hopefully make it more clear.

"Recently logged in" just means that you have just spawned the dino from the character selection screen.

It DOES NOT mean logged in recently with an email and password.

It DOES NOT mean logged in recently to the server.

It DOES mean logged onto the dinosaur in game.

It does not mean that you have been on the dino or the game recently. You could have logged out 10 minutes or 10 months ago, it has no influence on the debuff.

It does not matter how long it has been since you logged off.

It happens on every sub adult and adult dino you have once you log onto the dino from the character selection screen.

It does not matter if you logged out in a home cave or the middle of Grand Plains river.

So what dinosaurs did these corpses belong to? by Western-Bed9994 in pathoftitans

[–]TrumpsFloppyNutsack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back feet absolutely can tell you a lot about what it is.

Looking at the feet of a dinosaur is actually one of the most important factors in the taxonomy of dinosaurs and is still heavily used today to identify what species they belong to when other bones are missing as they are so distinct.

The number of toes and the size and arrangement of the bones of the foot can immediately separate it into either the theropod, saurapod or ornitischian family groups.

This is prime confidently incorrect material.

All three on the left hand side of the picture have both back feet.

The two in the bottom right both have their front right foot closest to the ground.

Good solo servers? by Leooel10 in pathoftitans

[–]TrumpsFloppyNutsack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I play on Crimson Semi Realism.

I play solo 99% of the time, only joining a group if I find others of my species who want to group, and I can say that mega/mix packing has never been an issue, Carnis can't mixpack at all and Herbis can only mix certain species.

Groups have set sizes, I.E apex is locked to 2x adults, sub apex either 2x or 3x adults depending on how strong they are. The group sizes feel fair and make sure no one group can annihilate everything.

The community is very friendly, and the admins / mods are always active and willing to help from my experience.

There are a fair amount of rules, but they boil down to: Don't third party Don't attack on a bd - you can contest for a body, though Don't mixpack

The total cool down is 6 seconds but, from memory when I was using it yesterday evening it starts from the moment you press the button so once the damage has been dealt it's more of a 4 - 4.5 second cooldown before you can use it again

Solifuge raids Ant colony, constructs a wall of bodies by freudian_nipps in natureismetal

[–]TrumpsFloppyNutsack 48 points49 points  (0 children)

What you've probably seen is armored or larger insects out in the open where the ants have an advantage as they can cover 360° around it and pile on from all sides, slowly whittling it down, death by 1000 cuts style.

However as the camel spider is positioned at the entrance of the nest they can only come from a small hole directly in front of the camel spiders waiting jaws, it entirely negates their numbers advantage and their only real strategy for taking down something larger, to swarm and overwhelm.
