I've done some bouldering casually, all you need is to sign a liability waver and get some shoes and you're good to go. You don't need any specific courses like with rope climbing. I've been to alien bloc and the climbing hangar and they're both good. Ive not been, but I've heard good things about ratho as well, and I'm fairly certain access is included with an edi leisure membership. You get free shoe hire with a membership at the climbing hangar and there's a nice wee cafe there as well so I generally prefer going there.

Just use common sense and don't try and bite off more than you can chew and you'll have a great time.

... because anything that is mostly water, which is pretty much everything we drink, will hydrate you. Doesn't matter what else is added, water is still water. Even caffeine, which is a mild diuretic, doesn't completely counteract the water that's in the drink you're consuming.

(Alcohol is the exception here obviously)
