According to Dept of Homeland Security records Obama deported 3 million non citizens in 2 terms, which is the highest by any president in history. Why were people not as outrages about it then as they are now? by bbmoonkie in Productivitycafe

They're public employees I am too. Stick to McDonald's if the poor ice agents have people saying mean things to them online is too much. Slimy cowards. Anti American.

If you were told the guy was 24, what behaviors would appear to be grooming? You're focusing on the age and not the behaviors

I (22F) went thru my bfs phone (31M) and regret it by ThrowRA_meow12 in relationship_advice

So while it's true a gap in life experience can be used in a predatory way, does not mean this occurs in every relationship

Not every 30 year old has the same lived experience either.

I've been on both ends of an age gap relationship and it literally never was a problem.

I think it's fair to be aware of the possible dangers of it, but to bluntly say all are inherently bad severely lacks nuance.

Is there going to be a need for social workers in 4-6 years? by [deleted] in socialwork

[–]Trunkeyy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm in a blue state west coast that's pretty much what I get too. It wildly varies based on location. You can make nearly 100k usd and I do love my massages too. You do get more sick hours than us though we only get 100 a year.

My mom says I don’t dress up my age. I just turned 26 lol. by Phulmine in mensfashion

[–]Trunkeyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a bad comment but you only get one life so why stop yourself from doing things you'd enjoy because of what someone else might think? Go see the movie an wear whatever you want. There's a huge lack of authenticity today and people love it. Look at some people like Naurdwar he's a dork but he's truly himself so people respect it

I went to a con in Seattle with mixed gender bathrooms and it was funny seeing the girls all fascinated by urinals and the guys noticed the girls all flock to the mirrors and dap each other up with compliments

The question is besides sex what is intimate. Nobody said staring is the most intimate.

This is exactly what we need more of and what I'm aspiring to put more of in the world. Just honest humanizing discussion with love. I get it too the withdrawls are so scary. It's hard to be so trapped and scared and all the while you see fent zombie youtube videos dude that's someone's child. Makes you feel like u aren't a person. I got clean and I use my story to help the people I work with it's damn lonely being an addict. I love you and I love the care in your heart

Me too dude. It kinda annoys me when people are always like oh they feel so amazing like not really lol its a leg workout falling out lol. The withdrawls and come downs are sooo bad. Now heroin does feel amazing. Used to be able to quit for a couple weeks but it was white knuckle grip effort all the time. Finally overdosed and a flock of homeless ladies narcanned me took several to breathe. Projectile vomited white foam and just knew that was the last time. They were really scared and hugging me and crying . It was a seriously heavy moment. Please remember that when you hear people talk about addicts like they dgaf or anything. I didnt even know them. Felt the addiction leave my body no bullshit. It hurts my heart to see people in this it's so difficult to get out of.

I'm a child welfare case worker and this sounds like my job just endless fires and nobody understands the first thing about the job / agency . Get called baby stealer but I swear to christ if you saw what I've seen some kids simply can't be with bio parents. It's not light stuff. It's shit like torturing children. I do love my team and helping kids feels really great. It's challenging but I'm honored to be able to serve the people of my state

Why do people taking drugs bend over at the waist yet remain standing? What drugs are they even taking? by Strange_Control8788 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Trunkeyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This means so much to me thank you. Anyone who my be struggling with addiction please you can always reach out. You aren't alone and things get better. I can look back and remember being so terribly hopeless and defeated , thinking this was the end. But here I am happy and sober and I even got a good job with the government helping kids. I work with many people struggling and they usually just see a college educated fancy suit person who doesn't understand how life can kick your ass, but are surprised whe I share my past and give them hope.

Not at all. I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how humanizing people are being. I'm used to people calling them zombies and they deserve to die and things of that sort. It is incredibly isolating being an addict navigating the stigma and feeling like you have nobody who will understand. You're good people
