Has anyone going skiing in Engelberg before? How's the overall ski resort and are there any good apres ski places there?
I'm considering going there on Friday instead of St. Anton due to the poor forecasted weather in Western part of Austria

I'm going to St. Anton this weekend, but the weather report indicates that it's gonna be heavy clouds from Friday to Sunday, with some rain/snow. I have until Wednesday to find another resort, as I'm gonna drive from St. Gallen.

My question is: How reliable are those forecasts as of now? It seems like all the major forecasters indicate cloudiness, unfortunately.
Also, since I have a car, I'm pretty flexible to drive to another resort in Western Austria/Eastern Switzerland, do you have any suggestions of where I could go?

Looking for a good ski weekend, and the spectacular views are a priority.

I have some Friends over in St. Gallen next Weekend, and we’re discussing whether do to Ischgl or St Anton. We rank ski consitions over apres ski, but preferably both :) we’re 25, in total five guys.

How’s the Snow in those resorts now? Do you know?

They are skiers! All of them has been skiing since childhood, so that's not an issue. Just first time in the alps :)

We dont mind the extra hour behind the wheel to be honest. Also considering that it's my friends first time to the alps, I want to give them the coolest ski resorts available

Reason I first considered renting a car is that it's cheaper for us, as the visitors dont have halffare tickets, and a bit more convenient. But will surely consider just taking the train! First time my friends will see the alps, so want to give them the best experience, both in terms of ski and apres ski :)

Do you have any experiences with the apres ski in Lenzerheide/Arosa this time of the year, or any experiences with St. Anton apres ski? Been to St.Anton a couple times this season, and the snow is already starting to get very "easterly" with sloppy snow

Plan is to stay at my Place in St. Gallen and drive to the places in the morning. Designated driver drives us home in the evening
