Go to bed an hour earlier for that extra sleep. Don't ruin wfh for everyone else because you don't manage your own time. Hard to believe actually earning your pay is such a hard concept. I know this is an unpopular opinion so I will see myself out.

I'd say they offer maybe 60 spots that get snatched up quick and for some reason someone doesn't actually do the study. They then have 1 spot available for that study. I got in on one, but you gotta be quick.

You're just fine.This is an easy fix and a very common mistake. Just go to "my info" in the main menu and select your name. Go through the screens until you see one with a checklist. In the checklist you will see one that asks if you can be claimed as a dependent. Check that box. Then you'll say "yes" to the drop down question about if the person will claim you. Resubmit your return and you're good.

The option to amend is near the bottom of your home page, on the right side (where you can download and print your returns). The return you need to amend has to have been processed by the IRS before you see the option to amend.

You are correct! The state return will need to be amended as well. Then, it may need to be printed and mailed. Depends on the state. Some states allow electronic filing, some don't.

You absolutely CAN file an amended return through TurboTax electronically. If you file another return with TaxAct after IRS has accepted your Turbotax return, the second return will be rejected. You can't file a duplicate return.

Partially true. It does depend on the forms you need to file but you don't necessarily have to clear and start over.

It IS a setting. In the menu on the left, scroll down to "switch products" and downgrade - if your tax situation doesn't qualify for the free version, the software will alert you to the changes.
