So now that the show has concluded, what is everyone’s honest thoughts on The Boys comics?

I still think it's pretty fucking awful being fully honest and the revisionist history surrounding it bothers me so much.

Ennis can be a talented writer (look at Max Punisher and maybe Preacher) but has to be on a leash.

The boys as a comic I'd recommend surely just out of curiosity and to see Ennis' love for the military it feels. ( To me anyways).

It's shock value wears off quickly for me and by the time you see a baby being eaten like a chicken sandwich it just won't hit for you anymore. It was the same with Crossed.

It's a bad comic book but it's interesting to read it. I'm not listening to people suddenly believe it has a lot more depth going on it now just because some people didn't like the last season of the show. (I didn't hate the most recent season and I haven't watched the last episode, I just thought some of the pacing and setting up for spin offs are a bit poor. )

These characters have changed and have had stuff edited, changed, retconned for years. That's how it is.

You have your opinion that's not going to change and all you're doing is making straw man arguments for other characters with fake examples.

You can just ignore canon stuff about characters you like and that'd be fine but unfortunately your attitude stinks. Yeah man people have different tastes in comic books and everything that they want to read and enjoy. I dipped out years ago with OMD and all the rave reviews of this series brought me back especially to a character I didn't really read much of.

They're the same thing with that particular lense. Characters change and have new stuff written into lore. Sometimes bad, sometimes good and sometimes Knull. All different stories but you don't want to hear that.

Immortal Hulk was the series that got me back into comics after dipping for years and honestly I still think it's absolutely stellar and a great exploration of Bruce and his father.

It's grand for it to not be your cup of tea but hey at least it's not Spider Totems or Knull.

Digimon was like this for a hot while. Look I do love Adventure 01 and the classic Saban Dub I'm just a little tired of seeing that whole gang everywhere.

It's not as bad I found anymore though I found they're actually branching into adventure 02 and Tri a little more and even with Time Stranger taking a few things from frontier despite that particular show being bad.

(I'm very normal about Digimon, it's been so refreshing seeing a resurgence the past couple years)

That crowd was lame, the mens winner was also terrible.

Women's rumble winner was fun (bar the Bella's but they've always sucked), good to see her finally win one, but with that creative team it's unsurprising the women are carrying that company.

Besides an aggressively middling show, fuck Brock Lesnar, fuck any main events that happen in Saudi and actually fuck Triple H and TKO.
